@@Miketweets I was wondering about this too - but then I thought perhaps the back of the tile is buttered and I did see it because there is still squeeze out - nonetheless those spots of glue seem odd to me
@@peetabrown5813 ya I don’t think so. I’m an accountant myself but I would think the back of the tile is buttered to key in the thinset. Then I skim the wall and apply the thinset there to get coverage. But I have done it on the back of the tile then I would have keyed and skimmed the wall not because there wouldn’t get the even coverage for adhesion. But again I’m an accountant so I don’t know. But I think you need 95% for wet areas and can’t recall for this but I can see the difficulty in applying even thinset and trying to level it

Its just a thin sheet of hard vynil with a thin tile form on top to make it look like real quartz or simple tile. And they use a good adhesive thats for sure. Something stronger than liquid nails
