Just like 5/50, another conference just to burn aid money received from US, paying for all the International flights, lavish hotel & food just to introduce and explain Middle Way Approach. This conference could've taken place online over Zoom with less investment and the remaining money could've been donated to recent flood effected places like Kullu Manali Shichak , Samyeling Shichak (Majnu-ka-tilla) and Budh Vihar.
I agree with your opinion regarding 5/50 which has no outcome and reaction so far, other than wasting a huge amount of money. However, there's a huge difference between gathering personally and having conference through online. This V-Tag conference in Dasa seems to have a great impact. The monsoon season in Himachal comes every year and such flood happens quite often due to which our CTA has offered relocation to Tibetans living in Kullu to Tibetan settlement in south India. But they themselves decline the offer and the Tibetans living in MT are doing a great business there. They could have collect money to install a flood control system to safe themselves and their property. Tibetans are however so depending and selfish to think of society and CTA as a whole. We need to grow, not only physically but, mentally too.
