The other day I came across Kunal Rao's standup videos who too underwent therapy for not being able to find companion. He is 40. Prashasti is right. The dating arena is messed up. As someone who has failed in this arena like many others, I can understand the pain.

I have felt Prashasti this whole video. Dude even being in my 20s, never been in a relationship just because I atleast know what I want and don't have anyone like that in "market". That once in a year wala phase comes to me too and then literally after 5 days I am like meh fuck it. 😂

We are all victims of such dialectical thought process that on one side we want to be or atleast we pretend to be individualists (in an overtly family based society) and on the other hand want to look for a partner who believes in the traditional idea of a family (loving, caring , parental instincts etc.) She has to go to a therapist at such an early stage in life or career ( not that going to a therapist is bad) shows the mismatch of our expectations (based on our own understanding of the world around) and the social reality. Interesting times indeed!
