Why are you pigeon keepers so rough with the birds! And what's wrong with a one legged bird. You don't put a human down with one leg. I had a leg removed from a pigeon due to a growth, vet said birds can do o'k with one leg. Not uncommon to see seagulls with one leg.
Hi, I saw a young feral pigeon today with a leg like that. Had a sibling still sticking around, which seemed to help, but clearly had not learned how to manage that leg very well yet. Will that bird be able to survive in the wild? PS I agree. Thanks for sticking up for the birds.
Put a zip tie on both legs like bands then pull them togeather with a third zip tie . It corrects most young ones after three or four days . I've only had to kill one since I tried it . One leg was not working so the other splayed out , couldn't help him. Thanks to Danny joe Humphrey of color pigeons . Com it's his tip. Don't remember which show but he shows the bird on vid and how to do it.
