Young Posse are dope. If you want some another great song from them, you could listen Posse Up (feat Verbal Jint), that's their top song for me. Thanks for reaction. :)
5:29 This man’s chat is straight up feeding him misinformation lmao. Macaroni Cheese, their debut, was written by their leader in a composition class after seeing a poster for a macaroni cheeseburger. The other members also assisted in writing it. There are no purposeful innuendos/explicit lyrics in it, just a girl who really wanted a macaroni cheeseburger lmao.
Whatever the intent was, it definitely reads as a euphemism. With lyrics like “drop it on my body” “the goal is in my mouth” “shorty like it greasy, shorty goes it’s hot, too hot” there is no way you can actually stand here are argue that it doesn’t have any sexual innuendos. Their youngest member was 13 years old. You can’t actually be saying that you think it’s fine for a 13 year old to sing lyrics like “the goal is in my mouth”.
@@peachyjoon6673bro, it's literally a song that talks about food, where is the food supposed to go then? to the knee? It is the fault of people like you with a dirty mind, that a phrase is given a different meaning, saying "the goal is in my mouth" is not the same as saying "come in my mouth", title of a song that Yes, it exists in my country and it refers 100% to what your twisted mind is thinking. I repeat, it is not the fault of the girl who composed this song that you are so damaged.
@@peachyjoon6673 it only has sexual innuendos for niggas that hear it like that. i think a lot of kpop fans got they brains so rotten by newjeans' cookie lyrics that now everybody hears sexual things in everything, especially when the members are minors
Not true. XXL was written, composed and arranged by Kiggen and Rick Bridges alone. There are no credits by YP members on this song, except for performing it. Two tracks out of five on the XXL EP contain lyrics by members: Scars (Sunhye, Yeonjung, Jiana, along with Kiggen and Yella D) and ROTY (all five members, along with Kiggen and Rick Bridges). So no, this comeback is not "completely self-written". Aren't YP good enough as they are, without embellishment?
@@tanvimaan347 No worries. They did write on some songs, just not this one. They also wrote lyrics on two out of four songs on the Macaroni Cheese EP: Macaroni Cheese (all except Jieun, plus Jaedyn) and Posse Up (Sunhye, Yeonjung, Jiana - and no-one else). You could say Posse Up is completely self-written (at least the lyrics).
Me seeing Lul AB talking about them having controversies but the Americans made the song problematic when it was literally just a fun song about macaroni & cheese. The lyrics of the debut were already written partially by the girls and the subject being macaroni & cheese was also their idea lol
@@viniciussantana289 terminally online people self-reporting their weird fantasies honestly. When i first listened to it i thought "damn i didn't know macaroni cheese was rly a thing in Korea but these girls must love it" and then i read some comments and wish i could unread them when they literally said in interviews that (i think Jiana) got the idea after looking at an ad for a macaroni cheese burger and just wrote some lyrics for a song that later got used as their debut.
literally sunhye said she mad the song purely bc she was hungry and was thinking abt a macaroni cheese burger. idk why international keep making this silly song have a deep meaning when there isn’t one
You can literally check out everything they have put out so far. Every song a banger. And the new EP is fire. I guarantee you will like/love all of it. Young Posse's phenomenal. Yougest member still 14 btw....
Thanks for pointing out all the hiphop/song references and noticing the switch ups in the music etc. it's a very informative and enjoyable reaction video! ^^ this song is so dope!
Yup, I nearly fell out of my armchair when they came up with Shimmy Shimmy Ya ^^ Young Posse came to my attention in February with the Young Posse Up (remix) track, then XXL ... but what really got them into my girl group A-tier are the B-sides from the XXL mini album; different styles from afrobeats- to drum'n'bass-influence, the singers rap, the rappers sing, no skips. Plus, they have some serious stage presence in live performances (check out the live vocals version on the Dingo Freestyle channel!). And a week ago, they dropped a cover medley (Rubber Duck, Too Much, Heat) on the blip channel - and that one is 🔥. No crazy CGI video, just them, 8 minutes, 3 tracks, but oooomph it hits.
IKR? That cover medley floored me. The absolute boss way that Sunhye has massive swag just sitting there, not acting angry like the entire YG (and most other rappers in K-pop)... And Young Posse Up, with the main vocalist Jiana's giant flex with self-written verse about only learning to rap two months ago... I am no rap expert but
From this album you definitely have to check out ROTY written by themselves and also take the opportunity to react to "undefeated" a collaboration by XG x VALORANT for their E-Sports league in the Pacific
