Becoming top class under fire is something to admire alone. He has a lot of support because not only he was top class but also because he was an inspiration... The two have different styles - Ronaldo liked to be more fancy and confuse defenders with his wide plethora of moves, but Messi didn't bother with that. He practised his feinting and close-dribbling to perfection. Its down to preference really, but I think Messi was much better than Ronaldo.
