Georgie deserves better than Mandy’s mother as a mother in law. She really can move past her hatred for how good he has been. He tries to make a good impression by making breakfast, she tries to guilt trip him (especially when there’s no way he could’ve know, although, we all know she had no intention of making a cake), so Georgie decides to do the responsible thing of going shopping. And Mandy’s father also deserves better. He has seen the better side of Georgie for a while yet she always suppose him showing his appreciation. If Mandy’s parents split up down the line, not only can I see it, but I’m all for it.

Makes a remark about him being unemployed and then prevents her husband from giving him a job.

Everyone criticizing Mandy's mother as the worst character on the show, and I'm not saying she isn't, but no one seems to notice that Mandy is exactly like her mother. The only difference is that Georgie won't end up an emasculated man like Jim. I like Jim's character, but if Audrey is like that, it's largely because Jim loves her too much, doesn't want to fight her, and... is a man with no balls.

Knowing georgie and all theese episodes. I can probally say. That since we know in big bang he gets divorced twice. So just by assumption. We know mandy is ex wife 1 since their currently together, and georgie is sweetest and we know he will always be there for everyone he loves. I feel like mandys parrents might cause that divorce, more specifically mandys mom, the dad seems like a nice kind person that is just trying to keep up with his gaslighting toxic wife. And im hoping veronica returns in new series, maybe season 3 or so, and maybe she is the 2nd ex wife, thats if mandy and georgie dont get divorced and then remarried. But if after mandy there is someone else and it is veronica we know her stepdad is abusive so lets see first marriage had toxic gaslighting mother, the 2nd one has abusive and violent stepdad or dad. Damm georgie needs his partners parrents to be kind and genuine people. But loving it right now, and even though mandy kind of started out as insufferable cause he would constantly help her but she just would be mean and annoying but thats ok cause she gets that from her mom, like sheldon gets his bad attitude and being better from mary cause she babied him. Mandy is starting to be a great character that is actually being nice to georgie and accepting the help

We all KNOW this is guaranteed to happen, and CRY when she learns about the divorce. Jim is BEGGING Audrey to let them hire him. He instinctively knows what the future holds. And Jim is a trillion percent right. Audrey does too, but she just wants to be a btch. Sadly, Mandy pulls the same sht on Georgie, and this is why he cheated, AND, why they got a divorce. This is going to be FUN to watch. Georgie & Mandy on CBS, MAX, and Paramount. Sign me up.

Georgie is going to own the tire store before he is old enough to drink, so Audrie needs to lay off of him. Georgie married Mandy before turning 19. Georgie will likely buy the tire store before turning 21. Georgie will likely be on the B side of the divorce with Mandy before turning 25.

i think it's rude and unacceptable for missy to speak to her father like this but no one in the family ever corrected her. also mandy seems so entitled living under other people's houses and expecting other people to resolve things. In every single conflict it was georgie who tried to please her. imagine her life as a single mom and back to waitressing. georgie and the coopers have been treating her wonderfully but instead of appreciating she carries herself with that bossy attitude. i hope the new series won't be a series of mandy bossing georgie around and him trying to please her. the writers have been amazing - i hope they keep up with the great work! we love this show and it's a pity that it'll end soon.

I would assume so - but hope they add Mandy's parents to the new show. It would have been a better storyline if the father hired Georgie and kept it a secret behind the mothers back...till one day she finds out!

Mandys mum is a piece of work. Instead of saying thank you to Georgie who put the time and effort into doing something nice for his new inlaws, she criticised him. And when he offered to replace the ingredients he used (the eggs) she made the comment of him not job-hunting for the day. I mean it's just eggs, bacon and a bit of milk. It's not going to take him all day to run to the local supermarket and pick up 3 things. It will take him like 20min tops. Leaves plenty of time for Resume writing/job hunting. Particularly if Mandy or her mother are willing to watch CC for the day.

Audrey wasn't fond of Georgie in the first place for getting Mandy pregnant and they weren't getting married at the time. So he saw him as irresponsible. Especially since he was a teenager. It was the circumstances because they had her granddaughter out of wedlock. And she always bad mouth him. Mandy stood up to her at the baby shower....about kicking her out and how Georgie was there the entire time. And episode prior she did find out about the raid. And the secret casino in the laundromat that Georgie was working in with Meemaw/Connie. So this made it WORSE...as she even stated 'what kind of family her daughter married into?' Seeing them as criminals because it was against the law. Not aware that Mandy approved it as it was a way to make money which they needed. So Georgie REALLY has to work to win over his mother-in-law....who doesn't think highly of him. A disappointment of a son-in-law.
