One thing about this series - is that unlike most of what Hollywood does - it respects these people. It may not agree with them - but - it respects them. .
YES!!! Everything you just said. I am so sick of the arguing and debating. The best way to divide people is to find a smaller division that already exists. Now the drama is everywhere.
His advice actually wasn't that great though. While on the surface it may seem so, and helping others is generally a worthy cause, all it amounts to here is a distraction and doesn't address the underlying problem, which doesn't actually help her. If you're dealing with a deep emotional crisis, faithful or not, you need the support of those closest to you. Fortunate for Mary that her family cares about her enough to later give that support even when she won't look for it.
@@kasbakgaming Never underestimate the power of positive thinking and focusing on other people to gain some distance and a fresh view on your own situation!
George is actually really cute when it comes to supporting Mary, you can clearly see his face showing how much she overdoes things sometimes, but he tries
Lol. Nah I'm not sure if you can get it done with the other one is fine with me right now so I can come get you if you can get it done with the other one is fine with me right now so I can come get you if you
"but don't hug a random child. That backfires on you real fast." Lol way to hit on the uncomfortable child abuse scandals that run rampant in way too many churches.
I love how this show can put so many perspectives on Religion. There is blind faith. Faith in the name of believing in a creator, but not a godly one. Faith for the sake of feeling some kind of good feeling, or being engaged with the community. Obviously opposing any religion like sheldon does.
These scenes make me wonder if her religious obsession is her desperate way to cope with the shock and responsibilities of her life. She just keeps clinging desperately
0:13 At a work meeting, I told my boss that the time goes very quickly .She said "when you get to my age, it goes very slow". I said, "that's like 50 or so years from now". Everyone in the meeting died of laughter. As I am still young, I didn't understand why they found it so funny. Probably I was basically saying she is very old.
@@oldchildhood8646 it sounds like a classic autistic moment to me. Im autistic and its very common to say something and have everyone in the room take it as a joke when you never intended it that way
@@nerdgeekcosplay909 for some people, they do. For others, they help a lot. It can also be that someone does well on one medication and poorly on another.
The preacher talks about work work work but never about the Holy Spirit or any testimonies about anything God has done for him. It sounds like she's being told to work to forget her pain ... that's weird. He acts kinda fake and it makes me uncomfortable
I'd give anything to be killed at 16. When I still loved the world, when the future was bright, when everything seemed lovely. My life went all downhills ever since.
@@camille3086I know you probably mean well, but you can't promise that and its more often than not a lie. Instead of making impossible promises, try to empathise, rather than sugar coat, works better.
@@felicitymorris5548 I was only trying to be nice because it really does get better. I’m trying to tell this person that there is hope and to not give up…?
Mary has to learn that serving the Lord is great. But you have a family with a husband and 3 children. But you just seem to care about Sheldon and his needs. Then you care about working for God. Get you priorities straight,
Well... Not much, George has a heart attack in Sheldon's mid teens, by adulthood, Sheldon is a man child with more issues then he has now, Missy's gotten knocked up several times with no husband and not much success in life. Geogie is a respectably successful business man, no relationship but likely pays child support, and finally Marry is still living alone in their house has had flings but still claims to be of faith, and has started an affair with Leonard's father by the end of TBBT
Ok, I need to point something out that bugs me. In this show the character Mary is seen crocheting and I can tell she IS really crocheting! But Meemaw is seen knitting. And most of the time, movies, tv shows and even commercials, show people knitting by just twirling the yarn and needles. They are not knitting but that's what knitting looks like to people who DON'T knit I guess. Sorry. It bugs me. Not enough to avoid the show. 🤪🤪🤪😂😂😂
