I find it wonderful how Young the Giant is so versatile. They have songs for any mood. And no one seems to say "I miss their old stuff" because they keep their original sound alive with every few new releases. Love these guys.
@@FreeTimeFeats You, sir, are probably the most level-headed person I’ve ever had the pleasure of running across on RU-vid. I know this comment was from three years ago, but I hope you’re doing well.
Lyrics: No one can take me out of this mess I do it to myself I lost my phone, my keys, what else? The acid doesn't help I'm paranoid as hell And I wanna Go home but there's no place to run Feeling like it's been forever Since I had my shit together I'm just do what I wanna In the heat of the summer If I could roll up another Baby I could see in technicolor I'm just do what I gotta In the heat of the summer In the heat of the summer I've got to figure something out But I don't know where to start I found my keys under the couch But I'm scared of going out Having all these doubts and I'd rather Stay home cause there's no place to run Feeling like it's been forever Since I had my shit together I'm just do what I wanna In the heat of the summer If I could roll up another Baby I could see in technicolor I'm just doing what I gotta In the heat of the summer I'll be wasting time In the sunshine I'll be flying high In the summertime Feeling like it's been forever Since I had my shit together I'm just do what I wanna In the heat of the summer If I could roll up another Baby I could see in technicolor I'm just do what I gotta In the heat of the summer In the heat of the summer
Every new album from you guys always has its own new and different thing goin on, but never strays from your unique sound. I love watching your growth and evolution. ❤️
I'm DOWN for a remixed islands/typhoon. God made man was not my cup of tea or at least it didn't grow on me like every other song :P but yes, a song in the same vein as those has always been their album so here's hoping! (if you count art exhibit as in that vein)! I also want something with the same style rift that I Got has. I LOVE the intro to it.
I just realized that this song could be about JILL from Mr. Know-it-all! It's a stretch but those are the only two songs that mention Acid. "Tripping on acid in the palisades" "the acid doesnt help". I know it's a stretch but this could be a deeper dive into Jill's life because, his voice is a higher pitch almost as if to resemble a female's voice. Jill lost her phone, so she isnt distracted from life, she wants to "roll up another" to take place of her phone as a distraction. Honestly this is way to deep to be a real meaning so take it with a grain of salt but that would be awesome if the two songs relate!
I generally don’t believe things like this (that’s a lie I’m a TØP fan of course I do) but this makes all too much sense. I don’t know probably a coincidence but I do think it’s a possibility, good job man you pretty damn smart. Now everytime I hear mr know it all imma think bout this song 😂😂😂

I don’t know man. Yes I still love me some YTG, but I miss the real alternative stuff like It’s About Time. Just hope the rest of the album isn’t as poppy
This is only the second YTG song that I don't like, which is a huge testament to how great YTG is. I was never a band follower until I discovered YTG. This song isn't my cup of tea, but these guys have such a huge selection of amazing songs and i still love them. ❤
I'm so pumped for their new album. I still remember the mid town music festival in 2011 when I first them live. Talk about a concert, i hope to see them again soon. I love all the new jams
I relate to these lyrics so much! I love how simple, yet deep they are. If you're studying lyric writing, this is a good place to start for examples on lyric flow and consistency
Every fucking time a song comes on the radio or in my playlist when I'm letting RU-vid do it's thing, I'll be like "Oh this is good, what is it?" And every fucking time it's Young the Giant. Like. Every time! And I still haven't bothered to check their other music, or buy their albums, because I'm super lazy. But Young the Giant isn't lazy, and they follow me everywhere to make sure I have those "GODDAMMIT it's Young the Giant again!" moments. For that, I thank you.
I miss the times when I was into this song and only this song. I hate the shit I had to go through just to look back and say “damn, not much has changed. But I feel different” all these songs get me feeling down but I know that those parts of my life are done.
@YTG if you don’t play this live I will sue for emotional damages (I’d definitely lose but my point is please play this I want to dance my actual ass off)
