This was actually a live pre-recorded vocal. Meaning he recorded live and then performed it at the award show, he was singing into the mic but the mic feed is off. They do that bc of the cursing in the song and so there are no slip ups on live tv. I liked his stage production.

@@naomidix2683 could be true in this case, but every time I’ve seen him live, his voice control is just like in this video. Doesn’t really sound like a pre recording at all to me. Sounds too diff from the original tracks from what I can make out

2021 and people still don’t understand autotune and still think there’s no autotune for stage performances especially if it’s not blatant like a T-Pain or Travis Scott effect lmao. It’s called light and transparent settings. You could hear Thugs and Gunnas autotune dragging on certain parts. Still a dope performance and it still takes skill to sing into autotune! Been an audio engineer going on 11 years by the way. Cheers!
