There were over 25 lawyers outside the court room to stand with Mr. Steel . Ashley Merchant was the lawyer for Mr Steel She let the judge have It!

The judge handled that situation poorly. He should not have held Steele in contempt for speaking up for his client. The judge was at fault but wanted to continue to be wrong and strong about it and double down by acting like he did nothing wrong. When Steele asked the judge if he could be housed with his client in jail so they could continue working on the case, it didn't occur to the judge that something was wrong with that picture. Where do they do that at? Didn't the judge realize that he was violating the defendant's rights? I guess not, he was blind with rage at being exposed. I would hazard a guess that the judge does not even have the authority to consider Steele's request. Jail accommodations are not under the purview of a judge. It was smart of Steele to ask that question to highlight the stupidity of the judge's wrongheaded thinking.

The judge, in most cases, that's asked to be recused gets to grant or deny the motions fed against them. That is something that needs to change immediately.

Not sure the guilt of the defendant but this judge is insane. He ignores rulings by the Georgia Supreme Court and violated Defendents constitutional rights. Rules or officers of court that violate people’s rights should never be allowed to remain a judge or an officer of the court.

Ural Glanville is a horrible judge. He had been empowered to create mutiny and now he must be stopped. He didn’t even know how to enforce to contempt.

What are they talking about?? The circus is because of the actions of the Judge and the State - which directly affect the case! No one has lost sight of anything - the conduct that is in question is creating the issues. Also, what rial have they been watching, RHQ is on the witness list but the state has said multiple time that they don't intend to call him. The whole reason his album dedicated to Donovan Thomas was redacted was because the state didn't want to call him, so that he could be questioned and cross examined, because they doubt he will talk! Same goes for Birdman.

His Exparte meeting was unlawful, firstly because the witness was already sworn in , his attorney was present as was the prosecution, but the uninvited defense was not present. So to just have held the ex-parte secret meeting it has triggered a legal term called a reversible error, as the possibility of coercion is present, by him refusing the motion to recuse Judge Granville, himself if that motion is perceived to be legally correct which it is, thatis another reversible error. His Criminal contempt charge is unlawful under the circumstances because he had every right to put the motion to the judge about his illegal meeting. he also then denies Mr Steele's client of legal representation. when he is in prison for contempt If he the Judge recluses himself tomorrow all these terrible and unlawful practices then he may not be subpeoned to the Georgia Supreme Court either to be severely demoted or in fact debarred. The case will then be declared a mistrial. Its to late and its such a mess that no other Judge will want continuance, they will want a fresh start. It's great that the Georgia Supreme Court, has already overuled Granville, freed Mr Steele on a bond because of his appeal. That appeal also recuses the Judge from continuing in the case. The Judge has destroyed this case, and should have to pay back the tax payers money wasted because of his ignorance of Georgia State Law, and his overbearing ex army arrogance.This could well be Judge Granvilles last criminal trial, he will be back in family court on Monday. If he is lucky to still have a job.

Judge should recuse himself and take some remedial ethics training, or be removed. Sounds and looks like a Brady violation. They could lose the whole case on this. I think they are likely guilty but there is little chance that State will be successful. That said the Judge is throwing mud where clean oil would be better suited.

At least the appeals court seems to know the laws and has a modicum of common sense. The judge should be recused from this case, it’s unbelievable to think that a judge so experienced doesn’t understand that an ex parte meeting for matters of substance are never allowable. This case is now dead as it will be overturned on an appeal and sent to a retrial, if this case has turned into a circus it’s only because the judge has allowed it and he’s become the ringmaster.
