I think the movie was painting a picture of him being schizophrenic. He mentioned that his mother wasn’t going to do any better if she doesn’t take her meds. However, I believe those meds were his and because he wasn’t taking them his mind painted a picture of what he believed was true even when it wasn’t true. Whatever he believed happened in his own mind just like a real schizophrenic person.
So what happen at the end did he really kill the step dad ? And was his family real or made up in his mind and how was the house sold I was so confused at end of the movie and who did he sleep with in the car so many questions
From what I understand, it was all delusions in terms of that part. I think the part of the family was made up, honestly I felt like the creator what trying to show us what mental illness feels like. I didn't know what to believe when it was all said an done.
