This movie is actually a great example in filmmaking. Great music/score, scenes, action/drama. Just entertaining start to finish. You get classic Patrick Swayze and Rob Lowe, and the overall 80s vibe is awesome. It was one of those films I stumbled upon randomly on TV and it just captivated, for whatever reason. Cynthia Gibb definitely didn't hurt that either ;)
Cynthia Gibb also played legendary tomboy-turned-stripper Gypsy Rose Lee in the 1993 TV adaptation of the classic Broadway musical *Gypsy* opposite Bette Midler as her domineering mother.
Whatever happened to this actress? She was never a beauty but did the best with what she had. However, she disappeared from film and is now only remembered for that era.
Eva's Ivy ...Cynthia Gibb has been in many movies since. Karen Carpenter Story, Gypsy, Malone, Jacks Back, Accused at 17, Sin and Redemption, and scores more.
Well, she'd achieved her original fame on TV, as Holly on "Fame". She seemed to move back and forth from TV to movies easily in the early years, then kind of got into the TV movie groove (rut?). And oh yeah, she was, and remains, beautiful.
