I still watch the Brodie Lee AEW reveal like once a week. So good. Breaks my heart he never got the world title run he deserved. What a great wrestler, promo, father and man.

helloliahi is correct The "hey, close that door" is part of the recreation of the "Montreal Screwjob" part of the "Wrestling With Shadows" documentary Dark Order parodied in one of the early BTDO bits, and was part a continuation of the BTE title run Kip Sabian had Kip (in the Bret Hart role) and Uno (playing the Vince McMahon role) recreated the Hart/McMahon discussion about when Bret would drop the title to Michaels. Bret didn't want to drop the title to Michaels at Canada because it would make it feel to him like he was letting his countrymen down, and promised to drop it at the next American show. Vince agreed during the discussion hence why people feel Vince backstabbed Bret. The parody scene of Sabian and Uno talking like this basically only swaps out "WWF championship" with "BTE championship" and one or two other swaps but otherwise keeps the dialogue the same, which was consistent throughout the parody, from Kip acting just like Bret Hart did after "being screwed out of the BTE championship", Silver having to convince Kip "I had nothing to do with it", to Brandon Cutler playing the part of one of the Hart sisters who said that the dirty politics would come back to bite them. The skit was a step by step recreation There was apparently a small clip in the actual documentary where one of the smaller wrestlers opens a door to enter it, and someone shouts "HEY, close that door!" And that part was parodied by Darius Martin entering the door. Not sure who shouted the line. But anyway the point is, this part was considered hilarious and fans reacted every time BTDO played it as a segueway to the next part of the episode
Finally, the comments are starting to catch on to what I’ve felt. This show has fallen off in quality and the views have been reflecting it. Either bring back Hangman or just hang it up.
Constructive criticism of your group. 1. It’s too small. 2. You should prioritize control of the singles title over loyalty to the titleholder. You do this through the concept of the non champion. It’s essentially the Sting to your Hall and Nash in that if he defeats your champion, you know it’s time to change that diaper. He would also hate you so much that he would dedicate his time into interrupting in all of your matches while beating up your people. When he’s not on the shelf. And that becomes your third man. The bigger question is who can fulfill this role? Surely there must be some sort of deranged baby face y’all destroyed through a grudge! Ha!

I am hoping we are seeing some long term booking shizzle going on. Like this is a bit of an interregnum while they build up the Dark Order and the Young Bucks heel out. Going to stick with it for another year or two.
What a fall from grace! AEW is TRASH! That Forbidden door Bullshit ruined it!! I don’t know if I’m watching “Dark,TNA,RoH,NJPW” it ALL Sucks!! All I want Now is Jericho And Mox to Return to the WWE! There wasting there time there!! The POPs there Both gonna get is Crazy! I was Rooting for AEW too! And the Fact TNA is about to do an Invasion type of story with the WWE is a BIG Missed opportunity by AEW! Tony should have bought TNA just for the catalog of History, images of Hogan and Nash they could of used on there own program!! Can’t even see AEW existing in 5 years the way there going!!
