Hahahaha typical south africans if it doesnt sound American they just dont care or support. And if you dont say nigga in you're tracks then the track just shit lol
That AKA verse was dope. There's some Afrikaans(native language), slang and local references you wouldn't catch if not from here. I can understand AKA feeling the need to rep CT when getting on a track with YoungstaCPT. AKA even speaks of his roots in that bar you like. "I live in the north. My taanie is vannie Plein. If you say my, say my name. That's medicine for her pain." Broken down is.. I live in the north(Gauteng province further north in SA). My mother(taanie) is from The Plein(Mitchells Plein is an area in Cape Town on the Cape Flats. Certain parts is notoriously gang infested and.. its tough yo). So its medicine for his moms pain. Can give context or explain some references but this is already way too long. Fire reaction
This actually made me realize how many local references AKA hits. There was like bar after bar referencing SA politics that hits different if you know neh? 😲👏🏽
Honestly this is my favourite reaction video ever 🔥🔥🔥 Can't beat the combination of an undeniable banger and the face of someone who's never heard anything like it but gets the vibe instantly 😍
Definitely check out more YoungstaCPT. Here are some of my favourites... (there are a lot more, always bangers, always bars, always high production values). Cape of Good Hope: Feel-good anthem, incredible visuals of Cape Town. Just be Lekker: Catchy, so much fun (lekker means nice or chilled). Voice of the Cape: Mellow vibes, positive messages. Old Kaapie: Rough, hard, gritty (Kaapie means Capetonian) Y?NA: Earworm. (Y?NA is his way of writing eina, which means ouch) Yasis: Non stop high energy (yasis is an exclamation, it means something close to damn or wow) .
man i think South African's people listen to real hip hop more than any other country I think Em was the most stream rapper in SA lately and that's good
Bru when that mmlp dropped in 2000... Cape Town went nuts. I was in high school at Athlone High School me and my brasse studied that album from front to back. Been a huge fan ever since
YoungstaCPT is one of the best lyricist in South Africa 🔥🔥he even won lyricist of the year. If you understood some of the slang used in his songs you would like him more
Yo Stevie it's dope how your reactions are so universal and that's what dope music does. And even though our sound is influenced by the States. It's firmly grounded in SA at the same time. Much love my broe. 👌🏾
RESPECT AND S/O FROM SOUTH AFRICA. Been subscribed since early January, with the Godzilla Eminem single. Checkin out ur older vids as well. Good analysis of lyrics. Like ur reaction in general bro. Keep up the good work. Moja!!!!
I'm a coloured guy from near cape town stellenbosch. Youngsta Cpt Is spitting in typical cape town coloured english and Afrikaans which is my mother tongue. main 'ou' means top dog or something amd something similar. love ur videos. thanks for showing south african hiphop love bro cause these cats be working their ass off to put quality music out there but dont get the world wide recognition they deserve. thats why alotta mc's quit the game. I've been on radio cyphers and Shit to make it here is really tuff.
It's been 15 years since I left SA, damn that accent lol I forgot how sharp that Afrikaaner sound is. Feeling all kinds of nostalgia rn. Wasn't in Cape Town tho, always been a Pretoria boy.
Much love brother yorh this the first major king of reaction videos reacting to my home town family brother nice to see you showing all the love bra if you and no life Shaq could react to more of him blow the whole world brother use 2 and obviously KingBlitz my main reaction video kings for real❤️🇿🇦🙏🤗
There is a line most people miss in the song, "Where the real ANC youth league at? Find them right there where the cheese at" the youth was on the forefront fighting for our freedom but not they are busy eating money of the poor....
Most of the Bars in this is Related to South African history and names most of us would recognize but im Glad you caught on to a few as well as the production Quality!
Please do a reaction for the following songs from South Africa: AKA feat. K.O. - Run Jozi (Godly), DJ Vigilante feat. AKA & K.O - God's Will, and K.O - Papa Action (2.0) You won't be disappointed 🔥🔥🔥
Woah. I was shocked to see a reaction of our music🤣 It actually was a bar heavy song, but you likely didn't understand the Afrikaans or cultural references, that seemed close to 50% of the song. I'm glad you see how good this actually is though😎
can't believe he hasnt reacted to Naija rappers yet, or Ghana or Kenya rappers yet. There're so bar heavy folks all across the continent. Respect to Stogie T and MI Abaga for leading the pack
@Stevie could you kindly check out up and coming artist in South Africa, Port Elizabeth Try Again - 30 Rocks Try Again - Midnight Memo Try Again - A slimey love story
