I too faced the same issue. My child always looked thin. But she met all her milestones and is 10 years old now and a class topper.. i m happy the way she is.. 😊

Same here..im also a paediatric doctor but my inlaws always say that she dont knw anything..her babies are weak. Breast milk is not enough..give ur babies this and that..etc

Almost all are so relatable.... I am not sure where all it starts, but since from the day mother give birth to a baby, all of a sudden everyone starts suggestions, advices, hold this way that way, color, weight, comparison.. OMG one of the biggest battle I am going through is comparing my child and myself with so and so..... OMG.

Totally agree.. I'm still facing these things. Weight of baby doesn't matter if he is healthy, active. So please don't judge mother based on babies weight. Every mother is unique. Don't think if babies are thin they are unhealthy

To be reassured just see how your child's growth is trending at your pediatrician’s office. That's what really matter. A child’s physique is also dependent on genetic factors and not nutrition alone. If their growth is faltering over a period of time it's concerning but if they tend to grow along their growth curves it's perfectly normal.

I can much relate to this. Acutually this made my day today. The nextdoor woman keeps on telling me that my baby has not grown up. Even today she commented on that.She even compares my baby with other neighborhood babies. She once told me that I don't have a sufficient milk supply as though she checked it on herself. I wonder how she can say that my babygirl has not grown up just because she is not chubby and fat. She is very active, energitic and meeting up milestones properly. She is a little cute girl. And I am thankful for this video that it really helped regain my mood. 😘

I'm 15 days old mom.. my baby's birth weight was 2.9kgs.. After all check up Dr said he's healthy and i got discharged from hospital.. PPL around are like he's so small that's y you were able to deliver him vaginally.. whatever it is PPL are already ready to comment on someone's baby, pregnancy, delivery, postpartum and so on..

2.9 kg is close to 3kg. It's indeed hard to go for vaginal. Especially for first borns. Don't take their words. You re strong. My son was 2.6 yet i couldn't do it vaginally.

@@amnamazhar8785 of course that's okay. But check with the doctor first. How do you know your breastmilk is not enough first? Ask yourself. Is the baby shows no weight gain or any weight loss. Seek the medical help first. Because family around you constantly tell you your milk is not enough all the time. My mil and grandma always say that yet i was able to breastfeed my child till now without formula.

My baby is one month old and his birth weight was 2.75 kg. It is not under weight but he is very tiny. My sister in law's baby was 2.6 kg. But he was chubby. My MIL is forgetting that fact and always telling my baby is very small because I didn't eat much while pregnant.

I changed pediatricians because the first one was shaming me because my kids were small (both premature). The second pediatrician was great, she wasn't concerned because they were meeting their milestones. All kids are different, as long as they are thriving it's all good.

Aaaaahh! THIS! They said I'm not feeding my baby enough. MIL would bottle feed them more than necessary and they would throw up. And she would blame me for that as well - "You should've given 120 ml to begin with. They threw up because you gave it in two 60 ml installments." Like really? They could only have 60 ml. Not more than that at a time, you fed them twice the amount. What do you expect?!

I'm facing the same. My son is not a chubby baby. My husband and I are both slim built. Our son is meeting all his milestones some even faster than his peers. He is not sick. Very active and curious but some people make me feel like a horrible mother for not having a fat baby. Thanks for this video. Your baby is very cute.

Sending virtual hugs to you... I needed to see this video and all the other mothers relating to this sentiment! My MIL asked me how much I am feeding my 6 month old son in an interrogating manner, and my own mom said that he is "underfed"! On top of that, my brother asked if I feed my baby! I am his mother! What kind of mother does not feed her baby?! My son is gaining weight steadily, and most importantly he is within the normal window of his growth chart. On top of that, he is meeting all his milestones. He may not be a chubby baby now , but to me he is the most handsome little prince!

It's very relatable to me also.... As my baby grow up he started gaining less weight because he was highly active, doctors also said it's normal in babies but for other people it's not and they passed such comments for my baby... It's so irritating

I had what ppl would say skinny baby and ppl always commented how tiny she is and I will get really insecure. She actually learned how to walk early and just a happy baby. She is now 9yrs old and champion in gymnastics in our area. Her coach said she is strong. God created all of us into different shapes and sizes. My daughter is perfect the way she is. May this be an encouragement to mommas out there that don't have chubby babies... your baby is perfect the way she/he is ❤

Currently going through this, honestly speaking I hate advices when it comes to feeding my baby, i very much loath it... I'm a new mom bt i like it only when my mother and sister advices me for the first three months later all the new mother's eventually learns everything... It bothered my mental health due to people nagging me everytime they see my baby, and it's still ongoing, if it wasn't for my husband always comforting me...as long as our baby is healthy and active we don't need anyone's advise...!!

This is so true...I also had to give justification to many regarding my daughter...funniest thing is some elder relatives don't note that her dad was also not chubby so it may be just genetic...!
