You have to be one of the most gracious souls on this earth. So generous with your knowledge and so patient and kind when you answer questions and comments. Part of why I love your youtube channel.
I totally agree with your comment, especially when some of the followers can be a bit bold in their opinions. We must all remember, this is Linda and the hubs house and gardens and it’s what they want in their home. I’m just glad that she chooses to include us in her garden walk abouts and her inside decorating.
Your back garden is even more beautiful than the inspiration pictures. Linda, you turned a dead yard into the most beautiful dream possible. Your sense of the garden and how, when complete, it will make your guests as well as yourself feel when you open the gate to a slice of heaven.
It amazes me that you even have to address or explain some of these questions. 🤦♀️ But thank you for being so kind to explain in your ever so “Linda” way. 😊 By the way, your backyard is absolutely fabulous! ❤️
It's hilarious about the handrails...just stick out your arm. Hahaha! I guess maybe too many viewers go to the bathroom while you're explaining things. Oh geeze.
I’m a an 79 year old with completely torn rotator cuff and also have myasthenia gravis But you give me such hope and inspiration that makes me want to do what I can each day in my garden You are so open, honest and genuine and so encouraging which keeps me stimulated and excited to keep gardening. It gives me meaning and lets me focus on something other than myself. You touch my heart deeply and although we are many miles apart as I live in Florida
I agree too Pauline. I find inspiration and enjoyment from Linda. I have a similar, I think climate to you here in Queensland Australia. Never the less so much of Linda’s ideas and tips are very useful. All the best. Julie 🦘
I am younger than you, but nonetheless, I too get into my gardens and manage to get as much done as I can. I certainly cannot achieve what I wants had. But, every chance I get I am in the yard working in my flower and vegetable beds. I am in central WI and we are so close to an early planting Spring. Wishing you the best......
I’m surprised at how many people repeated questions that you had already answered. Pay attention people. You have a beautiful artistic design style. I love love love your yard!
I think the reason we all follow you is because we admire you and your gardening ability so much. Yes you have more than exceeded your vision!!! Everything is so beautiful and I look forward to seeing more!!!
I did not expect to be so moved by the eclipse. I heard lots of neighbors cheering and clapping during totality. The news showed the same thing happening at the Indianapolis 500 racetrack and other large local venues. How amazing that so many people took the time to relax with others and share in the awe of an unusual event in nature. There weren’t any reports of terrorism, fights, gunshots, or conflict. For a few hours nature and humanity came together in harmony.
I love everything you said about watching the eclipse! Your words describe the feelings I noticed, too. It was a wonderful time of excitement and community. Thank you for sharing your thoughts ❤
I suppose I'm definitely not in touch with the public because all the things you have to explain about your life amaze me. Your backyard is perfectly lovely and I think you've done a fabulous job of it. As the other commenter says, your patience and kindness is beyond the norm. It's also commendable when you defend yourself which you shouldn't have to do about your own yard. But! Thank you for being you which we all love, Linda.
Absolutely, you have nailed your vision--your backyard is stunning! On a fun note, I have written a children's book about the joys and sometimes funny challenges of learning to sit in a hammock, starring a flexible and cheerful dachshund named Rupert. The title is Rupert's Hammock, and maybe your little guests might enjoy reading it in your hammock when they visit. A big thank you to you and your fantastic team for providing such beautiful and joyful content, multiple times a week. Your channel is a favorite!
I never doubted your vision Linda ! I guess that you have to have thick skin to have a U Tube channel & constantly have to..um.."explain ".. yourself and your garden choices ! You must never be caused to doubt your own self! Your garden is" coffee table book " worthy ! You do YOU !! From Georgia with love (& admiration)❤
I heard you say that you had many comments that people didn't care for the wood top. I personally love it. I have found that glass is so hard to take care of and I think the wood is awesome.
Thanks for sharing your gift of creating a Beautiful Garden. Regarding the wooden table top, it reads a bright golden color which makes it really standout against the red brick and grey. Once you added the pillows, it helps by repeating the color. You really know how to bring your vision to life. Everything works so well together. Keep sharing so that the RU-vid community can continue to learn gardening techniques.
Linda, I think your vision has sincerely been reached and it is magnificent. I truly enjoy the inspiration that your yard design offers. I look forward to watching your landscape grow and evolve.
All of us out here must keep in mind the Oklahoma climate, which makes and breaks choices in our homes and gardens. I like the way you work with that reality while keeping your spaces beautiful! Many give up, but you show the steps of keeping a routine and doing the little things that are required in extreme conditions. Thank you!
I think you did realize your vision as a base layer but made it even more wonderful with the color. I love your videos and how you handle the negative Nellies and their comments. Keep up the awesome work.
I think the back yard looks great. Can’t wait to see it at its maturity, it will be amazing. Not sure why all the concerns and questions of what you choose or not choose to do with your yard. 🫤 after all you do you! Pots on the staircase ok… maples close to the house ok… mine are and they are gorgeous. Happy Monday 💃
Your garden is absolutely beautiful and you have inspired me to think outside the box, with regard to less grass, container planting, and the mixed mediums of brick, stones, gravel, etc. What really matters is that you and Hubs love it! Thank you for sharing all your creativity! I look forward to every video you release!
Although the reds aren’t my colour favourites, it totalling compliments your brick and grey tones. You have to embrace the colour that exists in any home🇨🇦
Your back yard is definitely a relaxing vibe that came together beautifully...... As I knew it would. I love that you stick to your style and while excepting gardening tips from your viewers your viewers need to also be mindful that this is Linda's vision . Fixing the squeaky gate is not a garden tip!❤
I think you’re fabulous And I think your garden is fabulous! It brings me joy- and a bit of envy if I’m honest! Your taste in garden scape is impeccable
I think it is so funny how some question your decisions. If you love it… I love it. It’s your backyard. You continue to inspire me with the way you go about realizing your visions! Go Linda go!
Our eclipse was in the totality area. It was amazing and something I will never forget. We took our patients out with glasses and had sun chips and capri suns for snacks. There was cheering and clapping then complete silence. I just don't have the words to explain.
Miss Linda love the orange and red combination in your backyard. And it certainly does emulate the colors of the flames . In my personal opinion it’s like sheer genius to have placed those railings on your circular porch. The way you have I think they would look odd. How do you place them closer together but this way the railings look open and welcoming. As for those incredibly beautiful Japanese maples… your talent with pruning can probably work wonders. Especially if you feel it too close to your house. Putting in the second Japanese maple to hide. Your utility boxes was a really fabulous idea.
I think you far exceeded your original vision. I like that you used different colors in front and back. From the steps and the patio rug to the growing mounds of cool green. Sheer inspiration for us all. Beautifully done! And may I say, I love the sound of the gate opening. Wishing you many relaxing days in that dreamy oasis!
Japanese maples are often planted right next to the house as a statement/foundation plant as they don't get very big. You can't compare them to a regular shade tree maple.
Ee by gum it's champion a yorkshire saying from the Uk Linda you're the best I love everything you share with us you inspire me thankyou and yes your vision has worked 100 per cent!
You definitely succeeded with your vision Linda. The backyard looks so inviting, and the color red plays a big role back there. Your eye is immediately drawn to the color first thing when you enter thru the gate. Keep that red going!
Love, LOVE what you did in the backyard. I also love the red along with the pops of other vibrant colors in the accessories! Well done! One of these days I am coming to Oklahoma to drive by and see the front garden in person and visit Brick’s. It’s at the top of my bucket list! 😊
To be honest I couldn’t understand your vision and a time or two I questioned your sanity. lol But I can honestly say you nailed it!!! At our age we don’t need a lot of lawn to keep up with mowing and weed whacking. I think your backyard living space is spectacular!!! Red is my favorite color and the application in your yard is so inviting. I just love everything you’ve done so I don’t think you’re insane any longer.🥴😀😍
The colors in the garden are beautiful (front and back)! Those tulips next to you in the picture, how picture perfect. Gorgeous! And YES, I think you have successfully reached what you set out to do. Thank you again for sharing and being so patient. I’ve learned so much from you both indoors and out. ❤
You have created something that far exceeds anything we could have imagined at the cottage! I have a very small backyard in our home and it gives me so much inspiration to think I can create something special in such a small space. I have to say that I will never miss the rain barrel and the topiary and plants are a fabulous WIN in that space. XOXOX
Heyllo Wow You have moved and transformed this front and backyard. Creating separate outdoor areas makes soo much sense.Just so satisfying to walk through your outdoor scapes
I absolutely LOVE your background. I had a hard time envisioning it and is just gorgeous. I would only want to add a bird bath or small water feature. I love the sound of water….so relaxing.
Your backyard living area is absolutely stunning! I’m 79 year old with a disability and enjoy gardening. You are such an inspiration and such a joy and always make my day. I look forward to each and every episode as you are true, genuine and indeed a very special person. Love you to the moon and back!
No question that you brought your vision to life! Setting in your chair with tulips in the background really made your earrings and nail polish pop with the pillow covers❤! Beautiful area!!
The reality is so much better than the vision. The reality It is so much more colorful, alive, interesting and moving than your inspiration. Job well done! Thank you for sharing it with us.
Great job Linda!! I love both of your garden spaces and their differences❤ I’m always a sucker for the pastels and purples. But who could not love the red geraniums!! Those were a signature touch of my grandmother 😊
Thank you for answering everyone’s questions so gracefully! You are amazing and so is your backyard! Lovely to look at but also very practical! Well done!! I am always inspired… 😎🇨🇦
Are people asking questions before even watching the videos? i see it a lot. Perhaps they need to put on their listening ears, as my teacher used to say! I think you executed your vision beautifully. It fits your and your husband’s lifestyle so well.
Thank you for taking the time to answer some of the questions that were not addressed on your previous video (not your fault✌️). By doing so, you answered my question about the centrepiece on your wooden table. Got it👍! Thank you & more power🥰!
I never doubted that your vision would become reality. It’s been exhausting and challenging but you did it! Your garden is beautiful, inviting, and the perfect place for you to find some peace after all that work. Well done Linda!
You did indeed successfully complete your vision. I love it! You are an inspiration to me to get me in gear and work on creating the backyard that I want and envision. Thanks, Linda!!
Can’t wait to see it all come together. I think it will look great. When do beds like that I lay newspaper, brown kraft paper or single fluted cardboard down then pour my soil on top of that to insure the grass does not grow through. Getting my cardinal climber seeds in ground this week. We continue to pray for your finger recovery
Linda, I absolutely LOve everything about the backyard!! You definitely met and exceeded your inspiration pic! You have inspired me and given me so many good ideas!! Love from West Tennessee!!!!
You and your team exceeded the vision I thought you had - far and beyond what I was thinking. It's just brilliant, beautiful and inviting. Linda, I'm so happy for you, your family and friends - what a beautiful space to enjoy each other's company.
The transformation of both the front and back gardens are beautiful and inspiring - the back space is especially impressive as it fills you with gardening chores and I love the no grass look 🥰 you are so patient and gracious regarding some of the questions and I look forward to seeing how you continue to share inspire and create wonderful content 👏🏻👏🏻
Such a very rewarding, and successful year for you. Now, hopefully, you can slow down just a bit,and enjoy all your 🥰🌺🌺🌺fruits of labor. You more than deserve a reward for your vision and design.
Linda, your outdoor living room is just perfect and I think that you have exceeded your vision. I really love the plants where you had the rain barrel, so pretty. The red geraniums are the perfect touch in your color palette. You have given me such inspiration and I can't wait to get some Better Boxwood.
I really appreciate you showing the vision image and your process of working toward achieving it, because I have a very hard time doing this! I see mature garden spaces that inspire me, but can’t wrap my head around how it’s brought to life. I’m excited to see yours throughout the months! ❤
Linda, I have found that marine polyurethane works great for outdoor wooden furniture. It’s used on boats! I would try that on the tabletop. Love your videos!
Ken from Atlock Farm, trimmed my two olive trees into standard topiaries while he was at my shop, The Cupboard. It was pretty drastic, but it will pay off in the end!
Oh, yes, you reached your vision and excelled in many ways. It is such a pleasure watching your videos and seeing the beauty jump out. Enjoy your week🌷
