Can it be automated at all. I want to get into crypto mining to use excess solar during the day and maybe some overnight heating when the grid power is low enough. So far it seems Braiins is the OS for me to be able to automate to turn off when the power is too expensive or sun isn't shining and turn up when I need heat. This OS seems interesting as long as I can automate or at least schedule it.

Cool video. I have not tried this Luxos yet, but def want to give it a try. I currently use Braiins for my farm, and I like that you can set power or hashrate targets. It will tune the boards based on these targets. However, these presets seem to be pretty close to what my targets would be. I look forward to giving this a try on a few machines with the Xilinx board. Note: It will not work with BeagleBone or Amlogic control boards.

THM wow 🤩 this is amazing! I wonder if this is silicone lottery? I am 100% going to load this up on my 110/104Th units, the LPM is insane well over 600+w saving with only 4Th drop from stock? That’s crazy I wonder if the Bitmain 96Th model is just the 100Th with a LPM tune from bitmain lol truly awesome 👏, one question do you have to leave the micro sd card in the miner? or at what point to remove it?

Yes you have to leave it in the miner. Similar to HIVEOS. These units read the SD Card First, if there is one it loads that Firmware. If you remove the SD Card, boots right to the Stock Bitmain Firmware. Which is actually really nice as a "backup" so you don't have to worry about Bricking your Unit.

I have a 104T w Xlinix & Luxor firmware. It shows 130T @ 3.4kw but at the pool side I never avg more than 105T it went down to 95T so I changed from F2Pool to Luxor & same thing still can’t pass 95t pool side but on firmware says 24H 121T

The numbers you are getting are very good but have you tried the Bitmain low power mode? I’m getting 80TH at 1900w at the wall on all my s19j pros 104TH. That’s less than 24W/TH.

HIVEOS and LuxOS both utilize an SD Card, leaving the Stock Bitmain Firmware in place. So if you ever remove the SD Card, you always have that Bitmain backup in place.

I worry about using a firmware other than Bitmains. Will I be defaulting on any warranty I may have as my S19J Pro is still only a few weeks old? Other than that since you have used it for that long without any issues Hobbyist it seems pretty legit. I like the more intuitive looking web gui Luxor has. It even has a better overall aesthetic than the Antminer one. I will probably try Luxor out with my S19J Pro. I'll let you know how I like it.

I figured it out. Each model has a different board and face and I just need an OTG adapter with micro usb to micro sd to upload new firmware.

Does the ASIC automatically boots up from the SD card once inserted or do you have to do something for it to boot up from the SD card? Because my S19 XP still gives me the original Bitmain interface once I login with the SD card inserted.

i got it loaded, the dashboard comes up but i only get a spinning symbol in the overview area, no data, no mining...Ive had problems using the SD card for other firmware installs too. Beginning to think my control board reader is messed up.

Mine is a 110...using the 500 Mhz The low power with antminer was getting 26.5 watts/hash...I'm thinking a bigger stack of BTC will be better long term. But that's not financial advice😅. Are you powering your AC Infinity fan with 240v?

Several Years. Maybbe a Hashboard goes here and there and you have to replace. Nice thing is there are not very many parts. Hashboards, Control Boards, Cables and Power Supply.

When using LUX on a MICRO SD (not sd @the hobbyist miner ;) ) when you remove the MicroSD does the firmware revert back to Bitmain FW? can this be used on ASICs w stubborn to remove FW is we use the MicroSD wIthout having to remove the old firmware???

When you remove the SD Card ;) and power cycle it, it goes back to the Bitmain Firmware. Its a great setup. Kind of stops you from screwing something up.
