“If you had to think about every possible outcome when making a decision it would take a ridiculously long time to make a decision...” interestingly, that is exactly what I do. Very often in just everyday life I get tripped up by the simplest of choices or options. And it’s effect is notable, both to myself but especially to people around me who seem to find my indecisive and overthinking ways annoying. I’ve no idea how to change...
I'm so AMAZED by all your videos! How you get everyone interested and consentrated. But also your editing! The amazing color grading and the beautiful clips. Where do you get all the clips for you videos? And how do you edit and color grade your videos?
this is completely irrelevant to the video but I swear I've seen the mall at 4:32 in my dreams before and I have never been to that place before in my life
Your voice makes me feel better, Thank you for continuing this on RU-vid. I appreciate the channel and I want to say thanks to both the speaker and the team that makes these possible... Blessings from Jamaica...
Hello Aperture, I have been watching your videos for quite some time now. It would be really great if you could show us how you make your videos and the underlying creative process behind these videos.
I know my brain is lying. I don’t believe everything that happens around me, people keep telling me it’s all unreal. Yesterday, I heard someone knocked on the door late at night, everyone didn’t hear it, I did. The bang was so loud and it kept banging for 18min straight. I was so scared, I didn’t dare to move. This happens daily, I hope that this would stop!

I try to have a little bias as I can, but it is an unavoidable realty that I will form bias, The some of the methods I use to help minimize harmful bias is to see things from another perspective, become more informed about it, or to logically deconstruct it. The thing that I try to avoid is involving emotional reactions, or to minimize those reactions so they interfere with my judgement as little as possible. The most important thing it is to try to not think in terms of absolutes and generalizations, because things are more complex than they seem.
Biases (especially confirmation and choice) are easily toppled if you think as a scientist. Conversely, anyone who does not think like that (the majority of the world) is highly susceptible to all sorts of biases.
COMM: Analysis of Argument college class or any variant is all about these types of things. It was one of my favorite classes. highly recommend, goes into all of this in depth. Great Video!
That's why introspection is important to know where are you and your state of mind but it is not for everyone. I mean YOU, talking alone with YOURself? That's crazy!
How organics can give rise to an incredibly complex predictive modelling and storage device like our brains is incredible. It's hard to truly appreciate it, it's beyond our scope of understanding.
I just wish i could hear your old voice again. Has anyone else noticed that it has changed? Your voice in your first vids was just so relaxing i loved it :( keep up tho the quality is still there
@@enlightened1438 But my brain is also saying that you are saying that my brain said to me that you wrote yes but I shouldn't believe. Should I now believe or not?
Thank you so much for this video :-) Now I can send the link to people and save time explaining bias for hours and hours and hours and... What would be nice tho, would be sources (e.g. scientific studies) to your truthfull claims as some people tend to say "It is not facts but just an opinion of a RU-vidr". That leaves me explaining for hours and hours and ... again. Still, much appreciated you've done this video.
Just like everyone else besides you. If that comforts you a little. At least you don’t have to worry now that you’re not perfect anymore. Now you know there isn't one. And then you won’t be overwhelmed right away if something doesn’t clap. ❤️
My brain is superior it doesn't lie when I saw the thumbnail of which line is longer it gave me a true answer the longer line is the line which is longer ...
