also, on a more serious note, i'm sure you've seen the #stopasianhate hashtags everywhere. please inform yourselves on the issue, sign petitions and donate if you can. help your asian friend, teach the people in your surroundings, make a difference. as fans of asian artists we are absolutely tired of seeing the derogatory, xenophobic way on which they are treated by the media, award shows, but also in a more personal and invasive way. we must make a better world not only for our idols, who are immensely privileged in many ways, but for every single asian person, no matter the country, no matter the gender or age or identity. it's our responsibility as human beings.
