The Irish Guy takes a look at every Premier League club's transfer business in 2023 that he hates, including Arsenal signing Declan Rice and Newcastle eyeing up Harvey Barnes. Business enquiries: irishguybusiness@gmail.com
Bringing the daily mourinho news to the Irish guy Mourinho came back from holiday yesterday. He arrived at Rome airport with a tan and sun glasses and was asked various questions "Ready for the new season?" "You know me I'm always ready" "Any transfer updates?" "I don't care about transfer. I'm a pitch coach I just want to see my boys again and work on the pitch" "People are talking about dybala to chelsea. Is it true?" " I don't think so. I talk to Paulo all the time and he loves it here and we definitely want to keep him" "How do you feel about your 4 days ban in the Europa league next season and your 2 games ban in the league" " I think it's fantastic. They asked me to apologize to reduce the sentence but I said no way. At least I won't be burning in the touchline in August" "Any words for the fans?" "Be prepared" Clearly mourinho will keep on being mourinho next season 😂
It’s because he dribbles with the ball and apparently that’s really good even if you have absolute zero end product, can’t do your defensive duties and you spend 2 thirds of the season injured
@@bionicnomad it s not about bias, barnes is an average player and that s it at least maximim plays beautiful football he assist dribbles does more things for the team while barnes ?i can t say the same
David De Gea leaving Man U with no formal goodbye or anything takes the cake for Man U. As a lifelong fan yes he’s looked shaky and his distribution is horrid, but for god sakes he’s been a United icon and saved the club for the past decade +. It’s just all so sad for many true fans. He was a great guy and deserved better than this. Heartbreaking to see a club legend leave like this 😔💔
nope he wasn t ,newcastle are doing fine even without him and also he said facts that maddison doesn t have ambition and his reason to join spurs is dumb
@@raveninnsbruck9166 huh.,for what?nah,i am not a newcastle fan so i couldn t care less:)lmao dude i mean newcastle finished 4 without maddison so they are fine lollllllll, also he s a good player he deserved champions league football after the good seasons he had with leicester and saying you like london life when you haven t lived there is just dumb is like me saying i like brasil life when i am not even gonna go there
@@Siience...s not really,i enjoy watching him and that s it also i am not a newcastle fan so i couldn t care less what he s doing it s not like it gonna keep me at night that he choosed spurs and declined ucl football so you🤡🤡stop the cap lolz,i am just a casual football fan who has the same opinion on this point nothinggg more my guy
Probably the only person I’ve heard with a negative opinion about Fabio Carvalho, it’s smart business. As a Liverpool fan the transfer that should be hated is Naby Keita. Done absolutely nothing but kept the physios busy and left on a free after costing something like £50m
Torres is left footed Carlos is right footed Mings can’t play RCB and Konsa can’t play LCB. Carlos has a place in the squad. When you rupture the Achilles you can’t exactly rush back like any other muscle or ligament injury. If he ruptured it too badly he could be in a wheelchair permanently. It’s nothing to do with Carlos why we’re bringing in torres, just healthy competition to avoid doing a West Ham this season
Getting Madders was a great transfer for us. Maybe it came down to wage, location and position in the squad. Madderson is basically a guarunteed starter for the club and probably saw a bigger draw in the project despite Newcastle being further into their own project and having Champions League football. Champions League football doesn't always mean everything, it's a big factor but ye never know. Ange could probably be a manager that can charm players over with a project, sure has won over most fans at this point. Maybe the project Ange has just intrigues Madders enough? We won't really know.
@AJARyan-yn2uv In this alternate universe, if we are signing talents like this WITHOUT the English premium then yes please this is great, we could buy talents and let Levy be a cheapskate! - Spurs fan
Coady is suited to a back 3, which isn't what Wolves are playing atm under Lopetegui, and weren't under Bruno Lage either which is why he was loaned out in the first place (and I think he had a falling out with Lage, like many other wolves players did. It's why last season started so badly). Coady is a great player and has been brilliant for wolves, but him moving on was for the best. Do wish he could've gotten Premier League football though, he'll be brilliant for Leicester and they'll be back up next season
Some of klopps decisions are stupid af and 100% agree on your choice, he’s an outstanding potential and far better than half the clowns we have and he just loans him out after basically benching him since we bought him
Barnes is more effective than Maximin... Maximin dribbles too much and sometimes loses the ball and causes his team to lose possession, Barnes is a more direct player, he scores and assists a lot
Don't get too upset about Grealish and Rice's price tags. They both got a £40mil bump to their price tags from pulling on the white shirts so knock that off and you get a more realistic price tag
Fabio Carvalho had much potential, but he doesn't have what it takes to succeed at Liverpool. out of the 2 Ex-fulham boys, I back Elliott more and I'm not convinced he will fully make it either. He is a winger that doesn't get to play where he wants because of Mo Salah!
@@edenhazard2751 We ain't finished spending yet Fulham Blue boy, we're maybe gonna top your spending from last summer if we secure our targets. Oh and least we didn't drop £80 mil on an internet meme player.
It's just a phrase. Essentially English players get overhyped by the English media, resulting in clubs often bumping up their transfer value due to their English hype
There's 2 main reasons: 1)English players are overhyped 2)There's a requirement that in the 25 man senior squad each team has, at least 8 must be homegrown, meaning that they spent 3 years at an English team(either senior or academy) before the age of 21. A lot of the players that fall under this category are English so are highly sought after.
Think you’re completely wrong about Diego Carlos, Pau Torres is left footed like mings so the other side will have a place for Carlos I think he will get minutes
Spot on with James Maddison but I thought United not tying up De Gea to a new contract is bad. Rice going Arsenal & he supports Chelsea. Newcastle should not have gave this player a new contract, Dummett.
How does the Irish guy still not know that Sanchez is out of favour at Brighton. Threw his toys out the pram after being dropped for poor form and stopped caring all together about claiming his place back. He'll be sold to some random club for 20m. He doesn't have the mentality
As a Gooner, I want Declan Rice.. I don't want Kai Havertz though. LOL I'm cool with Jurrien Timber, good to have a Dutchie in the men's team again. But then this why Irish doesn't like the Rice deal, because he's motivated by a perceived tribal motivation.
It really irks me how many footballers nix moves up north because of the "culture" in London, as if you can't go down the Tate Modern without bumping into someone from West Hams midfield. Given the average footballers idea of culture, someone needs to tell them we have strip clubs and PlayStation up here as well, y'kna!
And an underground metro system, you have everything apart from rip off posh grocery stores charging a tenner for a pint of milk 'coz it still comes in a glass bottle. And you don't have too many annoying Spuds acting like they're a big team, or the Fulham Blues arseholes for that matter. Good luck in the UCL next year mate, COYG.
5:05 sorry, but wolves seem ready to sell any non-portuguese player in their squad, and they aren't buying anyone either with a cloud over their ffp!🙄so their project does look in danger!👍
As an Arsenal fan, Kai Havertz' signing made me a lot more angry than Rice (which seems to still not be confirmed). Where will he play? In Xhaka's role? Can he actually tackle? We already have ESR and Nelson to play there! Over £60m too - that money could have been spent on a midfielder who breaks up play and shields the defence to partner Rice - Sambi is still too raw, Partey is always injured and Elneny is basically a dressing room cheerleader. He is going to be Pepe 2.0. Every player Arsenal have signed from Chelsea has ranged from immediately wanting to leave (Diarra) to poor (Gallas, Cech, David Luiz) to downright useless (Willian). When are they going to learn to not sign Chelsea cast-offs?
@@NineHands probably but he also rejected the Portuguese under 21 called up because he, according to the press, thought he deserved to called up to the senior team. After that, Portugal wont call him up. He needs to be a bit humble
How was my weekend? I had to watch a bunch of Canadians absolutely bottle the CONCACAF Gold Cup. They were in control, they were in the lead at extra time, they were gonna knock out the USA. Then an own goal and a penalty shootout later. And the Canadians are crying into their poutines.
A move for Barnes to Newcastle could be your Trossard deal for you. Dunno if that was just padding but I think you’re overreacting a little. He’ll be perfect cover for Saint-Maximin!
If it's any consolation to you Irish Guy Ireland wouldn't have 2 £100 million players because if Grealish and Rice were still Irish they wouldn't be moving for that price. They're half decent players but if they were Irish they would be moving for 35-40 million.
Arsenal: Don't delude yourself. If Hair-Gel and Rice were still Irish and just as good as they were, they would be max 60 million. 100 is the English Hype and English Tax. I'm surprised its not DDG leaving Man U.
There is just one transfer that bothers me honestly De Gea out. Its kinda self explanatory. I mean it was expected to happen but Man United did him dirty
