I don't usually comment anything personal about myself, but I must share my experience with you. My cabin here in the Smokys went up in a blazing fire unexpectedly at midnight, almost 3 years ago. My dogs were the first thing I thought about, the fire was so intense that I couldn't get to my purse, phone or keys. Without a way to call 911, I threw my house slippers on and tried to reach a neighbor. Everything seemed to be in slow motion even though the fire seemingly was in full speed. With snow and ice on the ground, after putting my pets in my car ( thank God my car wasn't too close to my house, my keys were in my purse) I ran back into the cabin and just stood there in shock, seeing 45 years of collectibles and priceless heirlooms wiped out within minutes. I grabbed what was closest to my door (my valuables were only a reach away) . You know what the one large thing was that I saved from the fire? A 24 pack of toilet paper!!!!! Hahaha You really have to laugh. It was during covid. Lol. I'm actually grateful that my tower moment was what it was. Yes, it was devastating. Yes, I was in shock and crying out the "why me?". But it wasn't long before I knew. The fire and the months following it, showed me who my authentic friends were. Having no home owners insurance, it's truly been an eye opener for me, blessed to have my dogs and my life spared. I witnessed what I had no idea what it meant at that time... bright magenta purple flames, tunneling vortex like a double tornado swirling in different directions. I was outside hugging my older girl, Sandy a golden retriever when I looked up towards the balcony from the loft upstairs when I saw that. It was slow moving and I will never forget the warm, safe feeling I got when I saw that. I now know that this trauma was necessary for my transition from just existing to the awareness that I have. I've got a deep closeness with Spirit and a oneness with my higher self. Seeing the purple flames engulfing the upstairs, was validation for me that I was beginning my new path. I apologize for the lengthy comment. But MJ's reading was so very on point. And I do laugh when I think of what I had to get away from the fire! 😅

This is a very important message for everyone. Recently with the hurricanes in Florida (home) and up through NC... ( I have lived in Asheville) the utter destruction and the loss is grotesque. So many heartless comments about this from those people who have never experienced a hurricane or such a disaster. The eye opener is the lack of compassion and empathy...the heart warming truth is watching those with mule packs bringing supplies and assistance to such devastated places. I have lost my tolerance for the inhumane, injustice, critical, judgemental ppl and is pushing me to understand the priorities of life....I have experienced much loss in my life as well. Thank God for those with the means or desire to help their neighbors. Those men and women who are veterans, the mountain men and women, charities and alike are true heros. My hope/goal is to serve others in such away. To help rescue animals they are a large group that needs help. The time is now and I am ready for this mission. 🙏

Through this channel I have learned that it’s ok to just say thank you when receiving a compliment instead of putting myself down. Nothing was fancy by any means but putting myself down only brings in negativity. I made it a habit to accept, reflect and be grateful. I’ll never spend hours on something that doesn’t align with the way I want to present myself or why I am here in the first place. I see others doing it though.

I was evacuated due to a forest fire. My kitten, my dog, my husband’s ashes, some cloths and important papers. Most people thought I was nuts as I did not pack up more. My response is living beings was what was my priority and everything else was replaceable. I did joke my husband probably did not want to be twice burned. I had recently lost him and that really brought forth to me what was important in life.

I can relate to that. I appreciate the people that help nurture me and open doors for me over the people that stonewall me and allow me to fight for survival while ignoring the dangerous felons targeting me as a reality.

Mary Jo! Yes, I’ve lived in my home with 3 children for almost 9 years. I was laid off from my high paying career last August and I’m forced to sell. Like yesterday. Fam came in and painted cabinets. Me. I care about it. My last dream last night was that I was spending literally hours and hours over days, working on this one dish for a party. I remember bringing it in and I thought it was so great and then I placed it on the table and the more I looked at it, the smaller and smaller, and less significant it was. And a friend was next to me, and she looked at the dish and she saw it as I saw it, But my focus was still on the dish and not on the person next to me.. I had brought in a round flat dish appetizer, and all I could see that the tomatoes were on top sliced. But it looked so small. It would not feed even one person.

Detach from the BS. If somebody really loves to cook and they want to spend six hours on the dish that’s just fine and dandy. It is what it is appreciate that they made that much time and put into the dish the more you detach the more they will learn what to look at in themselves just my opinion and what I’ve learned.
