In case your dog actually DID eat rat bait, I'll skip to the chase: Open his mouth and pour hydrogen peroxide down his throat. About 1/2 cup - 1 cup. Don't worry too much about measuring it out - this is an emergency. Start pouring. He's not going to he happy, but he'll thank you later.
If you caught it early enough, he'll start to vomit small green chunks followed by green ick. The green will gradually turn to yellow then clear as he proceeds to vomit.
If you're not sure how much he ate, or think you might have caught it late you might want to visit your vet in person. Either way CALL YOUR VET and get professional advice. I'm not a vet - I'm just someone who has been through this.
Rat bait is made to be appealing... to more than just rats. Unfortunately, dogs really like this stuff. Be a responsible pet owner and nature lover. Protect all wildlife from harm. Except rats.
Don't let rats watch this.

#LoveOffGrid
We're John and Greta and we've been living off grid in eastern Washington since 2020. We're just a couple Gen X-ers, minding our business, getting back to basics, and enjoying the comforts that make life worth living.
Our farm is in a high desert region, meaning water is scarce. In winter, temps can dip below -30F and it snows a lot! Despite the challenges, we're happy here growing our food, creating our power from solar and wind, chopping firewood, and baking from scratch. We live simply and work with what we have.
Our videos are practical, sometimes steering into the philosophical, but always created to help others who are interested in off grid living. Whether you're exploring an off grid life for your future or just curious about this lifestyle, you're welcome here. Thanks for watching!
