in ode to my old "let go" edit,,, u kno i had to make another dramatic breakup edit for this song ahaha. this time, i decided to switch it up and create an edit where you're deciding on whether or not to break up with someone. so in a sense, it's opposite to what the lyrics are bc you need to leave them, but it also features it at the same time as you think of reasons you might not want to. idk, i thought the lyrics could be understood both ways depending on the context ahaha hopefully after watching, you can get what i mean a lil more !
anw, not every end to a relationship (romantic or platonic) can be a mutual decision and not every end is one we want to happen. but in order to grow, sometimes one person has to make the difficult decision to leave someone for that person's sake and/or theirs. it sucks to be on either end of the bearer or hearer of that decision but parting can be healthy if it can make ourselves whole again. so while yes, it can be a bright world when you're with them, sometimes it can be a brighter world when you're not.
