I tried this recipe, marinated overnight, it's ok, not amazing. I'm still searching for filipino style bbq recipe like lapid's. Others may like this though, you should try to find out.
Let us know when you find one!! There are other recipes out there. My mom always used garlic paste instead of chopped garlic, vinegar+lemon/calamansi, coconut sugar or brown sugar, sprite, a bit of fish sauce, and of course soy (dark), green onions just for flavor infusion and then marinated overnight.
LILLY PAD thank you. Do you have your mom’s exact recipe? I tried another recipe with sprite and sugar (no vinegar), it better but still missing something. I’d like to try your mom’s recipe please. Thanks again.
@@lhenibanez5091 Hi Lhen, honestly my mom measured by intuition and eyeballing. I do the same, however next time I make this recipe, I'll keep you in mind and document my measurements as best as I can with measuring tools. We used whole chicken wings skewered.
I try this recipe but i stir fry first yung mga i babarbecue ko after ko sya hugasan sa salt then marinate ko sya using this recipe and adds some spices at yung pinang babad ko niluto ko talaga sya para pampahid sa barbecue to avoid contamination and salmonella specially pag paninda kasi too much exposure ng raw meat with out freezing it can adopt salmonella and contamination, masarap po ginawa niyong marinade ang kaibahan lng po sa akin niluto ko po sya at pati ang mga barbecue ko naka stir fry na atleast di po hilaw ang karne.
I had a small inasal business and per batch na niluluto ko may isa o dalawang piraso na hilaw or bloody yung loob. Any tips po para maiwasan yun?? Or tips sa tamang paghiwa ng chicken para mas maluto yung loob? Salamat po
There no Perfect or imperfect recipe in Barbeque.. Just put in the things you love and let it marinate for long.. The longer the better.. Keep trying different ingredients.. Get your hand dirty and taste buds tingling.. Enjoy..
