FINALLY a tutorial that explained this in a way that made sense to me after a week-long war with Ableton Live Lite 11 trying to figure it out. So helpful -- thank you! Subscribed.
Exactly. Everyone else typically start well into the project and fly through it never addressing any hurdles that could come up. Or leave out what are extremely helpful tips. 3 minutes in and I’ve learned as much as 20 other vids I’ve watched collectively. This is a perfect tutorial
Thank you! There are those that know the stuff but can't teach it , and there are those who can teach and know the stuff. Your video is been a great lesson and well taught. 👍👍👍
I wish I could give you a hug for showing us all of this lol. Dude I have been using Ableton for yearssss and have not had the time to really sit and do this stuff. And you did it in 20 mins.
At LAST!!!!!! A tut that shows how to create some beats in arrangement view with everything explained and worded for the beginner. You are a LIFE SAVER
I wish I could have a tutorial from you on everything in life! The way you explain things with your tone of voice made this very easy to follow. It was very approachable and I was able to follow along while pausing to make sure I understood each step. This tutorial made me feel like I was actually being taught vs just shown, which I think is a lot more difficult to execute that people give it credit for. Thank YOU so much for making this video and helping me be confident in the magical Ableton world that is easy to get overwhelmed or lost in. Much love 👊
i rarely comment on yt, but this video is just amazing! so easy to follow, and makes it super fun to see the whole thing come to life. you're a lifesaver!!
Brilliant video!! Had no idea where to start and you have explained it all nicely - was able to replicate almost the exact sound as I went through the video. Thank you
Great video. I followed along faithfully and now my project looks and sounds exactly like this. Great way to learn the note positioning, clips and moving around the interface.
Thank you for your amazingly simple explanations. I was sweating for hours in live trying to do exactly this. It was driving me nuts. But finally all my questions have been answered here. Thank you so much for sharing this video and spreading your knowledge.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. It feels like this is the only usable video here without a person in it who loves him-/herself so much that it hurts to watch.
MAN!! Thanks so much for this tutorial. I have gone back over it a few times using diffent samples but trying to use the process you laid out here for the drums and that midi thing for the sample so I can use 808 bass and get that key changes. I like using Ableton with my Native instrument gear Kontakt S61 and the Mascine mk3 the Mascine 2.0 is nice and they have the BEST expansions Period. Thanks again.
Very instructional video, thank you. Can you please or someone help me understand when and why you decide to use MIDI tracks as opposed to Audio tracks to do your drums or percussion ideas. Thank you
I LOVE the tutorial in the arrangement view... thanks so much. Just wondering why not make the whole beat via Midi track, as in - add kick and claps in there as well?
why you didnt drag all the elements into drum rack? or oposit drag every sample on pattern outside from drum rack? is there any significant difference between those two methods?
is there a more beginner tutorial? I feel like there are a ton of things that work very different for you since you are not working off of a fresh install of ableton, you've a good number of presets that look very different from my ableton live 11
Nice tutorial thanks so much. What would you or anybody else say the perks are to starting a drum beat in arrangement view over session view? I like how i can make a drum beat live on session view but this video taught me a lot with editing individual audios and effects. I just wonder is there a more consistent work flow state way to blend the two to get advantages from both views. Maybe my question seems a bit scarce as I am just starting to get the hang of Ableton and seem to alternate between the two...
how are you placing notes in that bottom section there when you did the midi clip at 8:48? when I click it merely highlights. I think I can hear you hitting a few keys when I listen closely to the sound but I still cannot get mine to look like yours
I'm very very new to music making in general, one thing I can't wrap my head around is when I'm trying to lay down a beat like this, the beat that's in my head never lands on the bars and I end up with a beat that sound good but doesn't line up with the bars and it throws everything off. I don't quite know how to make a beat thats in my head line up with the bars
