Regarding the Poland vs Finland round: White plates without blue strips would be very unusual in Poland, so it had to be Finland. Even before Poland joined the EU (in 2004), they used blue stripes on the plates with a small Polish flag instead of the EU stars. Even before that Poland actually used black plates with white text (which you still see on some old cars nowadays).

Green plate in norway is not a government vehicle.. it’s just a vehicle ment for work. So plumbers, electricians, etc can have vehicles they are only aloud to drive while at work. The annual fee for these vehicles are less than everyday cars
@abigknoop2960
@abigknoop2960 2 года назад
19:55 In norway the green plates are for trucks and other whicles meant to transport stuff, not goverment vehicles. Not sure if its unique for Norway but if i see a green plate on a truck in a place with that kind of vibe its a pretty good clue. The diplomatic/goverment plates in Norway are blue. From wikipedia - (Green reflective plate, black print - For cars, vans, small trucks, etc. taxed and fit to drive on public roads, equipped with only one row of seats (driver included) and with sufficient internal volume to fit a crate 140 cm long by 90 cm wide by 105 cm high. This category is primarily intended for tradesmen, couriers and such, but there is no restriction on who can own or operate such a vehicle. Vehicles with green plates are taxed more lightly than vehicles with white plates.)

18:00 I'll add more info about this. French also has that "Ç", but the big tell that it's Turkey besides the flag is the fact that in the same text, the capital "I"s actual have that dot on top, meaning it's got to be Turkish language as it's the only one as far as I know which has those. Add that to the "Ç" and it's 100% got to be.
@spaghettiking653
@spaghettiking653 Год назад
With the one catch, that Turkish also uses the normal capital I, so you can't tell whether it's Turkey or somewhere else just based on a capital I with no dot. But if it does have a dot then it's def Turkey.

With Russia round, having bigger stone houses and Northern climate would mean you need to aim closer to St. Petersburg, between it and other big cities you mostly see regular villages with wooden houses, though to be fair near Moscow you could see something similar, climate of some parts of MO pretty much the same, and pines and birches can be found throughout most of European Russia, only in far South and North it changes drastically.

11:10 on the Finland round there are a lot of things pointing to Finland and I'll list them out; When you see S-market/K-market you know you're dealing with Finland, because those stores are found in every single village/town and cities have tens of them. Those unpainted looking brick-walled buildings are very common here because someone apparently thought they look decent (they don't) Those spruce trees are actually not found in Western Poland, only south and the very east of the country, while in Finland they are practically everywhere Those faint green electricity boxes are littered everywhere The asphalt has tons of cracks formed by it freezing in the winter over and over the sign signifying a biking/walking road is blue with a white outline (also Russia/Poland would probably not have as many bike paths)

For the Norway example, I can add that the green plates are not for government-cars, but for vans, yeah it's a dead give-away. Also, notice the sound-pattern in the middle of the road. That would specify a couple of countries in Europe, Germany and Norway for example ;) The video was really well made!

In case nobody pointed it out. If you see a white sign with black border it has the streetname on it. is very typically Belgium. Sometimes you can find older signs on the walls of buildings that are blue with white line and text (like you find in France). But nowadays 90% are white with black lines and text in Belgium. Also in France you can sometimes still see orange licenseplates, but they are dying out and going to white with a blue bar aswell.

13:50 The blue strip is standard for the finnish license plate, but it's fairly common to not have the blue strip. I think this is because 1. The eu plate became standard as late as 2001 and 2. it is somewhat common to get a non eu plate for a newer car, as they are still available and you only need to ask to get one.

30:00 The direction from the satelite dish tells you that you are on the northern hemisphere. If the satelite dish ist in a more flat angle, you are further away from the equator. In germany we have most time the satelite astra on 19,2 degrees east and hotbird on 13 degrees east. For example in Munich germany you have to put your satelite dish on 170 degrees south on your compass and elevate it to 34 degrees. In Stockholm or Oslo you have to elevate yout satelite dishes to 22 degrees and in Athen you have to elevate it to 45 degrees. In the south hemisphere the direction of satelite dishes is to the north. The most satelites flys over the equator. There are some exeptions. In south hemisphere of Brazil i have seen most satelite dishes in the direction to north east. Near the equator the satelite dishes are really straigt up. But there is a difference in the ange between the round and the parabolic satelite dishes. The parabolic satelite dish is an cut out part on one side of an round satelit dish.

I haven't been to that many places but I know if I ever see streets made out of pieces of onyx, it's probably in Mexico, in the state of Puebla.
