I've been waiting for a white musk video so thank you for doing it. I love white musks and all musks in general so this is a great video for reference for me and everyone else.
I agree. He’s lost a LOT of credibility in my mind for not covering those two. He also doesn’t seem to know that white musk was created by IFF for P&G to use in the scent of Tide laundry detergent.
I've become so obsessed with Musks! So soothing it really is like therapy, Initio got it so right with the name! White Suede from Tom Ford is so good. I really enjoy the Musks in MFKs 724 even though it's quite light. One of the prettiest Musks I own that's a little sweeter is Musk from Kayali. Musk K is on my try list, very curious about the sand flower note.
Thanks for this video! Clean white musk is my favorite category, tbh. Body Shop’s white musk from back in the day is my favorite although I’ve heard it’s much different now. I find Ellis Brooklyn Myth to be somewhat similar. Great for bedtime.

The only one I've put my nose to is Nothing But Sea and Sky. Tried it last year and it made zero impression on me, I don't even remember what it smelled like. I imagine they are lighter wearing and therefore great for summer. Will give them a try if I can find them in store.
I'd like to see what you think of the new Mono Cashmere from L'artisan parfum....I'm between 312, Ella K and Molecules1 + Iris for a musk heavy scent for spring but want to see what Mono Cashmere is about also!
I know Jovoy’s Musc Pallas has white and red musks, but it’s so beautiful, powdery and clean. I haven’t seen many reviews from the people I follow, like yourself, which surprises me. I think this one seems to be highly underrated. Wondering if you have thoughts on it?
White Musks are some of my most favorite fragrances. Sweet, unisex white musks are very much my wheelhouse. I find them very fluffy, cozy, and comforting. I have been meaning to ask, could you do a review of Snif fragrances?
I guess musc is favorite note of mine. I own a lot of this list and just waiting to get a decant of musc k in the mail. My favorite musc must be le musc et la peau by Pierre Guillaume, which is a cozy scent. Also nice is totally White by Parle moi de parfum. This is really clean and floral.
Love Ella K Musk, and enjoy Silver Musk from Nasomato. I bought Ella K for my wife thinking that it’s feminine, but it’s not, it works great on man too.
I really like Wasm Al-Musk by Arabian Oud..... The top notes are finger lime, ambrette, and incense, while the heart notes are cedarwood, rose, and iris, and the base notes are white musk. The scent also has hints of cedar and frankincense, and a rose blend with iris
My new fave is Rania J Musc Moschino. Not sure if it white musk, but WAY better than Initio Musk Therapy. I kept hearing they were similar so I got a sample of Musk Therapy to test side by side. I would never buy the Initio after owning Rania J.
Sebastian, at the end you do say you have not yet smelled the Blue Musk EDT from The Body Shop, no wonder. I think it's pretty much the exact same as the now discontinued White Musk for Men, which I also loved. Seems to me they just repackaged it in that smaller bottle, and made it a bit pricier. Smell-wise, I think it's either the very same juice, or else very very similar.
Great video and recommendations, quite a few I’d like to get my nose on. I’m quite picky when it comes to musks, and the one I am loving lately with a gorgeous white musk, iris and creamy sandalwood is Musc Moschus by Rania J
Thanks for this video. White musks are my absolute favorite! The Body Shop's is my OG that started my perfume journey years and years ago. I now have a few you mentioned but Royal Muska by M. Micallef is one of the best imo.
I guess I am confused between aldehydes and white musk. because i was thinking one or more MFK perfumes will definitely be on the list and definitely Zara Livre Blanc would be on the cheap offerings. Armani Prive Music Shamal is a great offering in my opinion and i am very happy pas se coir wasn't on the list, man I cannot stand that smell. Great video to save as a reference mister, as always.
Musc Bleu by Il Profumo is my go-to for a clean, laundry like white musk. It's the only perfume I feel comfortable wearing to the gym or pilates studio.
Ok I need to add a comment...I just got my Scentbird delivery and Sea and Sky was in it...really beautiful! I would definitely check this one out too. Not as strong projection as MT.
Great video, now a have a lot of fragrances to check out. I would also reccomend the muse from zarko parfumes, one of the cleanest and pretties white musk fragrances out there that also last long
Love musc that is not animalic. But I need something on top to add something beautiful on my skin. Love 312 St Honore! I find Appolonia a but similar to Delina I really dislike these sweet floral notes. Especially tuberose. Inito Musc Therapy is my absolute favorite !
The body shop white musk for men is the same as blue musk now just 60 ml instead of 100, different bottle and price increased at least in my country! I have both.

I have the musk and white musk for women(the white musk is quite coconutty I find) but I havent smelled it for men. I have to say that the original Jovan musk for men is THE sexiest scent IN THE WORLD. It nearly made me betray my best friend when I was a teen(NEARLY) so its very powerful stuff. Approach with caution!!! My favourite all times in general are BS WM in oil and EDT, Eau D'Iris by Prada (sadly discontinued), Quadrille by Baleciaga (also sadly discontinued) and for men its JPG Le Male and KOUROS!!!! Which is just....ahhhhhhhhhhhhh....I cannot describe without pornography lol!!! But im sure you know it...Tragically the new incarnation is NOT the same!!! I wish they hadnt changed it!!! Do you remember Mostly Musk by the Body Shop? It was GORGEOUS... My bf and I both wore it. Another discontinued. Im afraid I havent found many perfumes in the last decade or so that I really liked and I tend to make my own from real essences...although there are a couple of natural ones from Lush that I like. I have Apollonia , Montale white musk, I loved the old Body shop musk oil and Alyssa Ashley natural spray in black bottle and used to be beeeeautiful. The new range is ok but really miss the OG smell. 🙋🏻♀️🇦🇺
Hi Sebastian. I do enjoy a clean, fresh musk, and recently bought the Body Shop Blue Musk as a bed scent. As a slight aside, I visited the Jo Malone counter in the Fenwick department store near me here in the UK, and I asked about the four new bottles you featured in a recent video. They are a limited run, and when stock is gone that's the end of it. I had a smell of all of them and although they were all nice (Emerald Thyme and Musk Memento were the better ones) they were very underwhelming, both in scent and performance. At £58 for a 30ml cologne they're a bit pricey. (Oh, and I called at the Ormonde Jayne counter and they have three 2024 special editions of the Montabaco fragrance, called Flor, Cuba and Rio. They're lovely! It also seems that they are changing all their bottle sizes... but you may already be aware 😂)
Thanks for the definition of white musk. What’s a pink musk? I was going to say that Parfums de Marly Valaya is my favorite white musk, but on the website it says “musk”. Am I confusing white floral with white musk?
You mentioned that white musk "now" is mostly synthetic, which suggests that white musk was natural in earlier parfumery. If it was ever natural, what made musk "white" as opposed to "just-plain-musk"?
