I really like dr drew, funny, nice, smart, but that comment about meth and dismantling wasn’t all that true Yes, it’s very true that meth makes you want to dismantle shit, a literal subconscious urge to just take stuff apart… the reasoning is what he got wrong, Meth users DO NOT take stuff apart because they hear noises 😒 99% of the time it’s got a link to boredom, It is also true that meth is causing this boredom, think of your brain as a engine and being preoccupation is the fuel for the engine, meth makes your engine go full throttle, obviously with enough time your going to run out of fuel, so think of boredem as a metaphor for the car ran out of fuel, you were having fun driving and now your kinda annoyed being bored, so you do everything in your power to find more fuel, to find another activity. The biggest misconception that dr drew is making, and the one everyone else makes about meth users is that they hear shit and see shit and are going through intense psychosis. Not only is that not true, meth makes you hyper vigilant, which creates this sort of feeling that reality is truer than ever, this effect also creates overconfidence, as you subconsciously think you’ve never been this intouch with reality and everything you do is correct because of how intouch and aware of “reality”, it’s not that you can even be more “aware” of reality, but this example shows why methheads may say things that seem alittle out of this world, but it’s not that they acutally believe the crazy shit they say. Meth is such a hard thing to talk and write about, 90% of the information on meth on the internet is plainly just not true. It gets bad enough that if you try to google how to inspect your meth to make sure it’s meth, you will literally get NOTHING useful. Not to even mention that the first result is from a rehab centre and they literally showed some disgusting meth pipe with a terrible adulterant of meth MSM, like directly showed a picture of not meth. Like. Anyways. If you are a user and need information about stuff. Use Reddit or Bluelight, bluelight is hard to find on google so literally url it bluelight.org Reddit can also be untrustworthy but you’ll be able to notice fast who acutally knows what their talking about and who is blowing it out their ass.
