I don't know why, but I have seen most of Daniels videos. I'm not in building or trucks or even in london , I'm in east Yorkshire. But these videos are just fascinating. What started as a one man one truck band and turning into the empire that he has built.
The fact that i started watching Ashville when I was 17 in high school studying to become a realtor to now being 20 with multiple other companies is crazy. Brother here in the u.s we are still having incredible issues concerning our def trucks and heavy equipment can you even begin to imagine the issues that are going to be with hybrid or straight electric trucks and equipment I'm going to sit back and watch the fun happen, 😂 I let you work it out and then I will follow your path, but in a smaller treck
When I worked in a quarry we had tipper trucks that we could drop off the tipper body and put on a bottle for concrete, that way if concrete was extra busy we could swap over and cover the job and same if the tippers were busy.

If its to replace the 926 excavator, i suggest using a hybrid electric desiel, where you can charge the battery using desiel when required.... otherwise stay with diesel, until you can get a better electrical connection for the yard
Speedy recovery Daniel. I think ashville will run into problems if you go fully electric especially in London area you might need to pay & build a sub station to power the lorries & the costs wouldn't be worth it. I wish the best for ashville in 2024.
If I recall you had rot wood issues on those Olympics containers. Wondering if it wouldn't be more cost effective to completely strip and replace all the wood secondary structure and cladding with 150mil insulated wall panels (IE Kingspan QuadCore) fixed onto the outside of the structure. No need for secondary wooden structure that way except for windows/doors openings.
Hi Daniel, have you considered putting a ''Steam pressure washer'' in the area you store your plant, then machines can be cleaned when they come back off hire, or are in need of repair, also if they are VOR, they can be cleaned in situ, before they are repaired. 🤔🤔
Hi Dan, I’ve been a fan of the episode’s since the very start and appreciate every one, I’ve been a machine op over 30 year’s with some hgv class one low loader and class one tipper experience and can’t bare the thought that you will buy Liebherr machines ever again! For the love of god spend the extra for Volvo or hitachi when it comes to the yard and your own personal plant. And def delete is a must. Jcb still make the best for lift’s though a telescopic would come in handy. 🙏😉

the way to go to the gym on the days when you can't be bothered is say to yourself I will go to the gym for 15 minutes and push myself through it and if after 15 minutes i still can't be bothered i will walk out and forget about it, no worries. you will find once you do 15 minutes you are motivated to carry on and on the slim chance you aren't well you have still done 15 minutes and that is better than nothing, it keeps your routine if nothing else and routine is what keeps you going to the gym, you know how hard it is to go back to the gym when your routine has been broken due to a holiday etc
Have you looked into hydrogen? Lord Bamford has some very interesting interviews explaining the road JCB are going down, the advantages of hydrogen in heavy haulage and plant etc.. all makes a lot of sense, they’re doing a lot of extreme environment testing currently. Essentially hydrogen is still based on the age old combustion engine (obviously if it gets going infrastructure will need to catch up). Interesting times though ..

Happy new year ashville 🎉 the infrastructure for ev isnt quite there yet in the UK. All this hype for EVs is just that. Once the infrastructure, tech, finance is there then have a look in a couple of years. As with other comments and replies, hydrogen and the whole environmental issues are clearly evident. Anyway, good luck in 2024 and may Ashville have a prosperous and successful 2024!!!!
Love the idea of getting some electric vehicles, though I was just wandering if you had considered natural gas powered vehicles such as Volvo or Scania. These could be fuelled by portable high pressure storage packs.

RE electric trucks, a start is a start & feedback will provide progress look at aviation, I do agree somewhat & feel hydrogen is the way forward longer term But as said it’s only the 1st generation of electric trucks

Why don't you use suction pipes to empty the trains ,the ballast is removed in one action by a long pipe to the storage area ,no big machines,no diesel ,less work force ,must be quicker and more economical ...
