So, wait, after Bill was "defeated", his mindscape form remained and became especially infuriated at Dipper for siding Gideon over Bill in Weirdmageddon, and he wants to enact his revenge. That's the story I get from this, but I don't know
Bill's expressions and actions from 1:51 on match Burr's part of the song there to a T. I LOVE IT. It even matches Bill's actual personality!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I don't really connect the Gravity Falls characters with the characters through Hamilton throughout the entire show. I just felt like that one specific song fit in, in some type of way. The rest of the Hamilton story was irrelevant I guess. But you can interpret this animatic whatever way you want, I really don't mind.
This was the first-ever Hamilton related thing I've seen, thank you. Because of you, I was sent into the world of musicals (and now rap) all those years ago. I hope you're doing well after all these years.
Waaaah! This is so great! I've previously only seen one animatic that actually used the waltz idea, and now there's a lovely crossover with it, great) Also yeah, Dipper is not impressed.
Thank you! And I understand why the ballroom dancing was such a common theme put into other's animatics/animations for this song. It's pretty waltz-y itself. And yes, Dipper is not impressed with Bill's tricks anymore
You combined my two favorite things in the world. I haven't even considered it before (Steven Universe, my #2, is the cartoon that can be and is always compared to Hamilton). But now I'm just filled with glee
Okay so I watched this when it came out last summer and all I can say this is what got me to listen to Hamilton, so thank you! Keep doing your amazing art work!!
Heck quality, really, because in animatics the art is not the most important thing. Not so say it's not decent. At least you didn't half-ass it with rough sketches still visible. What's really great here is a sense of time and motion you have, and non-verbal expression combined with it. You have a very good hand on that, making it as impressive as this is. Slow clap, everyone; you done good, here's a cookie. Also, I were wondering what program did you use to make this?
I realized some similarities between another Hamilton animatic of this same song and this one and I dont knows whose came out first but I just wanted to mention it
