I didn't realize you could just delete the character and hit save in order to refresh the FPE. I always ended up deleting, saving and exiting the application entirely. Silly me :D
Glad you got your custom script working, and once you are set up you will find making changes becomes so much easier (but expect a fair amount of trial and error as one expects from game coding) :)
The zombie AI not working properly. Let's say, point A you have 10 zombie, they still move when they see u. Point B you have another 10 zombies, 8 move, 2 not. Point C 10 zombies, none of them move. It doesn't matter if, they all on the map at the same time, or you spawn them at point a, b, c Don't know what's wrong there... (Mookai GG forum)
I was thinking in some survival games they should make a program so you had like ai bot buddy in survival games that you can link up with you. With descent drawbacks as not having auto aim or anything, but would had function you can call with in game voice like get wood, attack "blabla username" so he wont attack litterly everyone. Or run back home. So its fair that you actually have to manage your buddy while in range of him. And if he dies he dies like everyone would And make it a Steam verified service or approved and you can have max 1 ai buddy in your game. Could be sweet for some solo players. And make it like you have an steam ai. game license library so if you want to play with him you will have to buy the game twice one for yourself and one for yourself ai game license.
You will need to create a script which overrides the animation frame of the character entity and have the character perform the animation to get up out of the chair based on a scripted event. Alas, this requires scripting knowhow and you may need to get help from the community. Definitely possible though!
I have a question. When I change a weapon a character has for example, a pistol to a rifle, the character still holds the rifle like a pistol is there anyway to change this?
Coding is optional in GameGuru, and by sculpting terrain, dropping in player, enemies, weapons, ammo, objects and pressing Test Game, your game is alive with built in logic and behaviors which you would normally have to code yourself. You have the 'option' of coding extra logic with LUA to make your game smarter but that's up to you.
@@thedarkmagician2202 Youcan assign behaviors to characters using the drop down, but if you wanted to code your own AI system you would have to use LUA scripting.
Try going to the Steam product page properties, selecting the Beta tab and choosing the Public Preview version. Alternatively we will be releasing an update in a few days which will fix the issue you are having.
Once upon a time I could have helped with one-on-one projects, but my role as lead developer forces me underground to work on engine stuffs. Your best bet for project specific issues is the GameGuru forum which you can find here: forum.game-guru.com/board/1
This is likely related to an incorrect installation process so unintalling and reinstalling via Steam is the best approach. If this does not solve it, then it is related to the system you are running. Can you reveal your CPU and GPU make and model, and the version of Windows you are running too, thanks!
A lot of users will be using GameGuru so they don't have to code, and fortunately, there are enough scripters in the community to make use of this new power. This will happily lead to more features for characters and player mechanics in the future :)
Do you mean creating mountain ranges (i.e. one hill at a time), or that the editor is lagging? In the FILE menu you wll see an option called new Random Level which will create some random hilly scene for you.
Sorry for being late but theres two ways you can do this if you havent already lmao so pretty much open your soilders or charecter properties by left clicking on it and clicking properties. Then go into your ai main, ai.lua files and click wandering ai for it to follow you if you want it to not harm you but stand still set it as ai.neutral
I think the thread is still going in the main GameGuru forum on this idea, so it will be interesting to see what ideas the community have around it and how best to add it to the voting board.
When I make a new module I put the game name as a prefix to the module name. That way I know that the new module works with the game. Like, module_kew_civ_combatcore.lua. the game is KEW the CIV is the civilian entitieis in the game. So this module is for the game KEW and for all civilian entities in the game.
You can download the GameGuru Repo from here (github.com/TheGameCreators/GameGuruRepo) and add your own C++ code right into the engine, but your additions would only be usable by people who have your modified EXEs.
So when can I have my full refund... for everything I bought from you guy's sense last time. You guy's said to me. That type of game is not acceptable with our game engine..? Ha, I thought it was a game engine not some windows PowerPoint..?
