This is so on point as this was before the patch (that gave me 15more fps) and right now we should use this game as a new system testing benchmark for ue5
@@MrJays you cant use unoptimized and broken game as benchmark it doestn represent at all what your pc is really able to achieve... its like using pcr test for covid....
Totally agreed! This is a truly next-gen game with all of the graphical features it offers! It's insane! I remember Ark 1 ran like poo poo as well! LOL
@@midnightblue3285nope. Ark 2 is the reason for ark ascended. The devs want to use their skills to their full potential creating ark ascended. So they can master ark 2.
Hey, man. Since we last spoke I tried something that among all the noobs, one person told me the secret. I'm running Cyberpunk now with DLDSR 2.25x. This renders the game at 1620p and brings it back down to 1080p. Then I turn on DLSS performance, which I can't even explain what weird magic this is doing at this point because the resolution is going up and down more than once, and I get insane crispy and detailed graphics with no FPS loss. As for Ark Survival Ascended, I never bothered to look at this game. The trailer looked like a Fortinite 2.0. But watching this video of yours... Damn!! It's looking insane. If I end up finding the actual gameplay at least passable, I'm gonna buy it just for the graphics and immersion :O PS.: you forgot to test 1440p with FG on. I'm gonna have to try it because of the DLDSR hehe
That is definitely an interesting outcome! I'm glad it works for you! I totally agree, this game is insanely gorgeous, and, I didn't forget to include 1440p with FG - I couldn't get FG to work at 1440p for some reason. My framerate was broken, so I just turned it off
Until today ark ascended is still marked as early access, which mean it is the asset for helping GPU company to gain profits especially in selling RTX4090 gpu. Believe me or not, they can optimize the Ark ascended graphics to be playable on RTX3060 in epic setting running above 40 fps but they don't do that for some reason. They want us to be ready and preparing high gear for the coming of Ark 2. This is a propaganda and it is a part of their marketing strategy.
Fast forward to now... of course, it's the usual beautified and staged trailer from Wildcard. Unlike the actual game, this wonderful trailer doesn't exhibit the lag, janky framerates, image ghosting, instability and countless other issues the release has. They've lost a good 50-60% of their playerbase since the game launched. They need to change their priorities from monetising everything to fixing the base game. Very sad to see.
The only part of my pc thats scrapes by on the minimum requirements is my gpu. Radeon 5700 xt. The rest is well above recommended, game crashed when I killed a compy 5 minutes in.
So sad because I was excited about upgrading my card from 3080ti to a new 4090, but these benchmarks are atrocious. Guess I'll wait for wildcard to get their sh*t together or wait and see what the next gen card brings to the table... smh
Jay Uploads. Then the performance patch drops. 😮 You should make an update to this post the perf patch today I would love to see the comparison on the 4090. My setup. RTX 4070 Ryzen 9 3900XT 32Gb 3200 MHz 2TB NVME M.2 I can now achieve 80+ fps (some dips into 60s here and there) Ultra Settings DLSS Balanced with Frame Generation on.
I think it will be a very interesting experience, and you might have to play on low, but worth a shot! Just try it for an hour, and if it doesn't run well, submit a steam refund. Their policy is if you played under 2 hours you basically guarantee a refund
That Dino almost killed me, but it was so dang detailed!! I looked like that gif of the minion looking up in awe from Despicable Me right before almost getting crushed LOL The game is absolutely stunning!!
UE4 is just too new, give it a gen or two and then we'll see it run fine. It's mostly the RT trashing performance and it's just not worth using for the drop in fps.
UE5 is definitely super new. It's still in its infancy stages, I agree. And I also agree that it's probably the RT that makes the game crazy difficult to run, plus the volumetric clouds seem pretty taxing too
Game was made in order to upgrade the graphics as the main feature, yet 95% of players can't play above low/medium, if at all (I know I can't). Pretty sad. No point in getting ASA if one can't enjoy the graphics on High/Ultra imo.
Yeah, this game is really pushing hardware to the limits! Just like the first Ark did back in 2015. It's gorgeous, but most people wont see it like this until the 4090 is $400, or the 6090 releases lol
@@MrJaysit runs a bit better now, but... 3080 10g is not good enough for 1440p (actually downgraded from 4k for ASA, ASEvolved ran fine 4k almost all Epic - upgraded from 1070Ti thinking I was good for the next 5 years)
