Hi N.O.D.! Thanks for the nice comment. It definitely helped me get back on track making new videos, as well as content for the Instagram page. I just released a new video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g-fJy2eMJRc.html Let me know if there are topics you would like me to explore or questions you would like me to talk about.

Hello Camilo, how are you? I live in Brazil and I want to visit Lightbox expo next year. I would like to show my portfolio to an animation studio, but my interest is in character design and I recently started studying storyboard too. Is it possible to leave an event like this being hired by portfolio analysis? Thanks for your help and your channel. A big hug from Brazil to you!

Hi @brunocarvalho9207 ! I think being hired on the spot is probably rare if not impossible. What can happen though is to get a follow-up and be hired later on after the event. I know for a fact (because someone from that studio told me) that there was one studio that kept business cards of artists that they thought were interesting and they used to have a meeting a week after the event to kind of talk about who caught their eye. I wouldn't be surprised if most studios do that. But being hired at the event is nearly impossible because there is usually a process in place.

Thank you for sharing all the great tips!! I'm so glad I came across this channel. Could you share some of your experience with interviews especially with big studios (such as Blue Sky and Netflix)? I'm applying for a few entry-level story positions but I only have interview experience with smaller studios and they're really chill and short. I wonder if big studios do interviews differently.

Hi Rea, thanks for the nice words. I will do a video about Blue Sky for sure. In the case of the Netflix show it's different, because I worked on it through DHX (now WildBrain) in Vancouver. Still, I can make a video about how I got the gigs I worked on so far for sure. Thanks for the suggestion!!
