I have to say, I love this goddamn channel. I won't lie, I don't understand half the references, but it's incredible how many emotions this medium can convey. Absolutely everything is steeped in nostalgia and a sense of belonging, awash in inside jokes, internal references, and older references, each of which makes you feel just a bit closer to everyone else whenever you recognize them. There are pure shitposts and jokes for when you want to laugh, because life's so much better when a single day can be just that much brighter. There are quality shitposts for when you want something nice to listen to, because sometimes you just want some good music that intersects with your interests so you can meme and music at the same time. But then? There are golden remixes like this, including one or many heavier source materials, because these remixes do everything in the power granted to them by the genre to make you feel each and every last beautifully bittersweet emotion combined from every piece of source material jammed into such a technically and emotionally charged medley which would be impossible to fully appreciate through any other medium. We are a generation growing up on the internet; while that can be construed positively or negatively, this channel uses that facet of our lives to its fullest potential to reach all of us, spanning connections to such an incredible range of different thoughts and emotions through material that feels personal to you. Godspeed, you magnificent bastards. I hope you never stop finding fulfillment in everything you do, because I always will.
Already have, played through all endings. Undertale, too. Learned from the rest of the comments the origin of the background cello melody. It's why this rip in particular hit me so damn hard. It combined all the feelings from its sources and exponentiated them beautifully.
Music: Your Reality - Doki Doki Literature Club slt - Koe no Katachi/A Silent voice/ Shape of Voice Hopes and Dreams - Undertale Snow Halation Flintstones stones meledy
I never understood the primary joke of this rip, until today. My friend kept pestering me to watch Koe no Katachi, and I finally caved since I had nothing better to do. When "slt" played in the movie, I had to pause for a moment wracking my head wondering where the Hell I'd heard it from until it clicked in my head, and I about screamed in excitement and confusion as I opened this rip.
Hi SiIvaGunner Thank you for listening to good music. (__) Select a theme and select a song to create a music collection video. "Doki Doki Literature Club! OST - Your Reality (SiIvaGunner) Remix" Ask if this song is available for your music collection. P.S I'll write down the source
Slow battle music usually works for fights where there is a lot of emotional investment. When done right it actually hits harder than an epic high energy theme.
This rip actually ruined a silent voice for me when I recently watched it because I heard this music during one of the movies most emotional scenes then burst out laughing because I recognized it from this rip. My friends think I’m a sociopath now.
Honestly it added to the experience for me. I recognised it but I couldn't work out where from, and I find this rip to be one of those rare truly beautiful ones, so it somehow amplified the emotions of the scene instead of subconsciously connecting with comedy. The scene this plays in is one of realisation and awakening, and hearing this made me feel the same sudden realisation of familiarity. Weird how that works
@@idot3331 I'm here to second this. I saw the film well after hearing this mashup. I never took the mashup as a joke. I know there are memes dropped into it and all that stuff you'd expect from this dude, but I came to listen to this repeatedly after playing DDLC specifically because of how much more emotion the track from A Silent Voice added to it. So, yeah, you get your Undertale and Flintstones from it, but it feels like there's a lot more going on in it than that. When I finally saw the film a few years ago, I think the scene hit that much harder because of it. I didn't even have the realization until afterwards why the track sounded so stupid familiar or why it reminded me so much of DDLC.
This extremely high-quality DDLC rip isn't making my mission to get over this stupid game any easier..! I've accepted my fate. Thank you... And also curse you.
GOD THE QUALITY RIGHT OFF THE BAT Boy, *Spoilers,* forgot about those... If DDLC had some dramatic finish in which you truly could save everyone in a real happy end, this would be it. It's like this song acknowledges the pain and struggle but remains positive enough to let you know it's going to be worth it in the end.
TheDolphinTuna I wouldn't say that it "saved everyone". It just kind of acknowledged that you had it in your heart to do everything you possibly could for a good ending while in vain (which hurt in a good way). I just wish there was a way to make all 4 girls happy and deal with all of their problems outside of death/deletion.
Lunchbox I think the message there is that no matter what you do in real life, you can't be there for everyone to solve all of their problems. You can wholly dedicate yourself to one person, but at the total risk of losing everything else just to keep one person happy.
So essentially, this would be the ending if DDLC had an Undertale Pacifist style Ending (the music of which this borrows from both for specific elements and melodies and just, overall, stylistically)
@@lichxeam ok ngl the arpeggios are a PAIN in the FUCKING ASS, to do solo left hand later in the song while you play right hand melody. No way a beginner could do that.
Now I want to draw Monika doing the washi washi to Sayori/Natsuki... "Make another move on my boyfriend and I'll give those plump melons of yours a nice squeeze!~" ... Wait, people don't realize Nozomi is the girl that keeps trying to yuri the other girls?
when i started the song i thought "no, they wouldn't..." and then the violin kicked in and HOLY HELL THEY DID i love that movie to bits, seriously beautiful
GlitchMaster2 | I know it's great an all but it isn't that large. Anyway, if there is a DDLC takeover, I think I'd probably be similar to the Gadget one.
Notifications never tells me that my comments were popular, lol. I'm shocked this rip was popular as it was. especially since I watched it at like 10 views when it came out.
I guess this is the version once Monika gets more practice on the piano. More chords, a nice solo, different key so she has more sharps and flats to hit. Probably not the intention of the rip, but I like to think of it like that.
She does say that she’s “not any good at it, at all” when you finish the game, before the song starts. This may just be low self-esteem, but at the same time, it could imply that she hasn’t practiced TOO much.
The song at the beginning is "Koe No Katachi OST - slt". I was looking for it because I didn't know what it reminded me of, and I found out that it was that song.
im glad that Doki Doki get some love, im glad the game is doing good for their company, im sure that way their next games will be even more mindblowing.
"Their company" is actually just Dan Salvato. He commissioned artwork from two people and got his friend to sing this song, but none of them actually work for him. Team Salvato is just Dan. Just Dan.
This is why Monika is my favorite Yandere. She just wants to be loved by a real person. A person who knows that her world is just a game. She may have friends in the 'game', but their scripts are written to do so. Monika wants real friends. Monika wants real love. She realized that you, the person who is controlling the player, has the same power to control the files and is the one living in the real world. Just like how Flowey acts, she doesn't want you to leave because you're the only one who understands what's happening. Every reset, every save, every delete. She knows you've been doing it. She knows you are real. But, then, the GAME HAS NO GOOD MONIKA ENDING. SCREW YOU GAME, SCREW YOU SAYORI, SCREW YOU NATSUKI, SCREW YOU YURI, SCREW YOU LITERATURE CLUB, SCREW YOU DEVELOPERS, MAKE A GOOD ENDING FOR MONIKA! I'm getting gay for Monika xD (jk)
I just found this, I've got chills. I love this channel, so many gems. Idk how you guys manage to, but you always surprise me. Stellar. Absolutely stellar.
This version of the song holds an incredibly deep meaning to me. At the time of writing this, I had not listened to this song since 2018, the last year I could comfortably say I was happy and enjoyed life to the fullest. Having listened to it again and singing along, I legitimately cried, because it really felt like I was back in those happy times, if only for a few minutes. I hope all who see this message have a wonderful day.
If Monika is ever going to appear in L O R E, how could she even be developed as a character in 2-3 CCC episodes? I don't think she's going to be too relevant anytime soon.
Ammar Mujkic Monkia would fit perfectly in CCC. With the pre-established concepts of figments and reality in CCC and her desire to be real in DDLC she'd be a natural fit. As for motivation.... yeah....okay, it would be a little weird as she's driven by love. But it could be that she wants to find "him" and be able to actually love and be loved.
Sterling Anon Yeah that's what I've been thinking too, but since we only got 3 more episodes to go, they would have to squish all of this in one or maybe two episodes. Or wait.... maybe they could say that the Voice played DDLC and is actually a weeb and Monika is trying to be with him or something? That could fit somehow
Monika's such a gifted composer. And she just learned how to play piano. 1:28 YES. So I'm not the only one who thought that part of Monika's song sounded like Undertale!
I came back to this high quality rip, and every time I hear this track from Koe no Katachi it just gives me the envy to throw myself. This track was already very emotional in the movie, but since that Kyoto Animation, the studio which animated it, suffered a criminal fire, killing 36 people working at the time, it just achieved a whole new level of feelings. Some of the people who made this film DIED IN FLAMES, and now by association this piece of music sounds fucking tragic. So. Good rip SiIva team. And... RIP to all those poor people.
This just. . . works for me in a way that few rips do. This fits in nicely for my tastes alongside Lon Lon Ranch (PAL Version), Weight of the World, and Ballad of the Goddess as rips that I can really appreciate on multiple levels, with a real musical quality that stretches beyond the joke (or relative lack thereof - none of these are particularly funny, just clever).
I know I'm years behind on this, but this is absolutely one of my favorite rips. DDLC and A Silent Voice are both very important to me, so a beautiful merge of the two just puts me on the edge of tears. Who did this one, thank you.
So glad I'm not the only one who would hear the Undertale theme in the original 'your reality.' The fact you integrated it into a remix just makes it sound even better! Well done!
I watched A Silent Voice recently, sometime around the KyoAni fire. Taking in that situation, the feelings I was getting from the movie itself, and hearing the backing track of this rip? I thought it was original, so that shook my world about a year later. Such a good movie paired with such a good rip.
this song made me really emotional already without knowing where the piano came from so when I hear this in a silent voice it gave me goosebumps and it just made that scene a lot more emotional this will always be my favorite siIvagunner rip
You know SiIvagunner, you're pretty good at making legit remixes anf music. I, as well as I'm sure everyone else, would legit love to hear some original work made by you, or at least some legit remixes , as well as these trolly peices
Such an appropriate rip since I watched A Silent Voice and played DDLC both within this month. Funny how that works, and this is the first high quality rip I've listened to in a long ass time.
Funny story, I listened to this song BEFORE watching A Silent Voice, imagine my surprise when I hear a familiar tune coming from the movie. Having watched it definitely got me dehydrated, god bless, beautiful remix.
When DDLC becomes meme-worthy and its soundtrack is loveable and openly accessible: Siivagunner, as General Grievous: *This will make a fine addition to my collection.*
I dunno why, but I've started listening to this song whenever I get stressed when doing homework for senior year, its really calming and helps me focus a lot. I know these are jokes, but this song really help a lot. So if you ever see this SG, thank you for making this Rip:)
