Can we all just appreciate how good the voice acting and the energy in this is?? It’s so hard to even go 10 minutes doing a slow read, and this is very quick paced and still executed very well. Great work!
Thank you! The raw recording was about an hour long with retakes though, so I do have the benefit of cutting out the weakest bits. Nobody gets to hear the worst takes where I lost steam because of ✨editing magic✨.
This is amazing. I can relate heavily to this character bc I have ADHD and I too sometimes “feel like a useless piece of shit”. It’s not as serious at THIS and I do take some medications but the times where it really hits me, it is very frustrating. Even though it’s just a character, it makes me happy that they are happy with someone that accepts them. Keep it up and here’s to a sequel.
tbh she doesn't feel like a yandere at all, it feels and sound more like... she has adhd and YOU are her hyperfixation (this coming from someone who has been dealing with having ADHD since firstt grade i resonate with the speaker alot (tho my hyperfixations are a bit less... creepy/ illegal?) and now im imagining a yandere with ADHD and its funny as hell

I'm cool! I was basically editing this audio right down to the wire, so I am a bit frazzled but other than that I'm dandy! ^^; And thank you so much! I was pretty nervous when I started, worried that my voice acting was subpar, but I'm gaining more confidence in my skills now that I'm being regularly showered with compliments!

Sure, inviting them in should be the way to handle the situation, but how do you know that when you go for a towel and some clothes for them you're not gonna come back to them scampering off with some of your (possibly expensive) belongings, or you suddenly find a knife in your back as you're being busy. Or are you gonna offer help as eagerly to a barely aware drunkard as you would to a homeless girl? There are various people out there and being overly helpful may lead to you getting used and abused. Though there's also question how much of this is just my pessimism speaking.

Can’t win em all but also you don’t need to start it in the first place sometimes, so honestly use your critical thinking skills and whatever you have to come up with a plan that works for you and has the least amount of risk added to it. But maybe my overthinking head ass plans too much for scenarios like these, they’re not necessarily Romantic per say but more or less, how do I protect myself and insure my safety if anything like, out of the ordinary happens.
@@VanillaVelvetAudio Tomboy is a popular term, yandere is the more niche one and willing listener is the rarest :/ It's suprisingly hard to find specific combo's and a high quality level audio included. Oh and monster girls, for example a centaur or centipede is a rare find aswell!
Most believable backstory for a Yander I think I have heard so far, and for a while there i thought it was going to be a surprise mutual double Yander scenario.
I have heard this script a few times before, and the Anxious Tomboy angle you went with works very well. Definitely my favorite version of the script. Well done as always!
Thank you so much! I knew I was taking a chance doing such a popular script, but it really called out to me. I figured between the extensive adlibs and the tomboy-ish voice, at least I could make it feel a little different from all other versions out there and hopefully still result in a good listening experience. I'm glad to know the gamble worked out!
@@VanillaVelvetAudio like I said before, I think everyone here can tell you put effort and emotion into your vids while some others sounds like they are phoned in or are on autopilot, and that is why we like your work lol. I think you won't have any problems doing any script weather its popular or not as long as you keep up the effort you put into them :-)
Oh man, what a rollercoaster of emotions. At first it was funny how adorably crazy she and all over the place she was sounding, but then I got hit like a truck by her reality, which was pretty relatable in some aspects with my own. I wanted so bad to give her happiness, protect her and help her better herself. This definitely needs a part 2. This is my first audio on your channel, but I can already tell I found a treasure trove! Your voice acting is amazing, and your voice is very pretty!

Another professional-quality performance! And once again simple editing prowess never ceases to amaze me. Overall I loved your adlibs too. I felt guilty though, because there were so many well-delivered comedic moments that made me laugh even though the speaker is going through such a rough time! 😭 Fun Fact: The hardest part about writing this script was choosing what the snacks were going to be. I wanted them to be expensive to show the listener is spoiling the speaker but as soon as it came time to choose specific ones my mind went blank. Even google wasn't much help in this case.
Damn. This was oh so very fluffy and really put a big smile on my face listening to this. I think you captured the Tomboy character pitch perfect with her rapid, vaguely scattered-brained and just plain enjoyable dialogue. And to be honest this may be the first Yandere I've run across who's genuinely more concerned and motivated by her "beloved's" happiness than her own. Seemingly content just to watch the listener from afar until she was accidently discovered. Even being more concerned with cleaning the water she dripped on the floor than even trying to make her fantasy come true. All of which to say, I think she really earned that cuddle. :) Fantastic work!
I like how the listener here actually hears her our and responds to her with concern, and offers to help her after learning the terrible state she's in both mentally and financially. They want to help her because she's someone who needs it, and as a person who regularly needs the support of others, it's good to see a video like this where a person acknowledges they need help and tries to seek it out, albeit in an extreme way in this case. A great spin on the yandere genre and a genuinely endearing performance!

Was a longtime, no account lurker, slowly going around to all the channels and audios I really liked. And this one is one of my absolute favorites you've done. The speaker is just such a mix of adorable and pitiful... The lack of confidence, having no aim or drive, the stuttering, the saying weird things, her hyperfixation on the listener. The image of her just standing out in the rain and watching them somehow manages to be more heart wrenching than scary and concerning thanks to the way she's portrayed. I've heard the advice that, in these situations, you really aren't supposed to give stalkers an inch, but she really does give me such a twisted up feeling in my gut with how much she's struggling to keep it together...I'd probably let her in too, she's almost like a kicked puppy in a lot of ways. And I think what helps too is how much she understands her obsession isn't 'good'. That it isn't good for her, good for the listener, that some of her impulses are dangerous (like smashing the window)...Makes you really feel that she just needs that genuine help, that she isn't a 'too far gone' crazed yandere but a girl who needs support in her life. I'd like to imagine that she can get it now that, thankfully, the object of her affection seems to see that too. Work herself back into healthier habits, stabilizer her life. Who knows, maybe get her wish and have an actual relationship with the listener that's actually healthy and a bit more 'normal' once she works on herself. This is one of the most hopeful 'yandere' stories I've ever listened to, and I like it a ton. I only wish the best for the both of them!

The funny part is you seemed to anticipate every one of my reactions to hearing the character talk. Except I'd make them tea and do the cuddling thing immediately, on account of the fact that treating hypothermia requires you to remove the person's wet clothes and warm them up gradually with body heat. Actually, building a fire could potentially be dangerous as the body may go into shock if it's heated up too quickly (if I am remembering that correctly). A fun tidbit for anyone who read this.
Oh, I'd love to come back to her someday and give her an even happier ending, where she learns how to adult and everything, but I'm sad to say there’s no sequel script at this time. Sorry about that! I experience pretty much the same mental thing the character in the video does (minus the fixated attachment to others). The whole, not being able to do practically anything. Some of the lines were very relatable to me. Which I wasn't expecting! It's odd the kind of places you can see reflections. Great voice acting and ambience, by the way.
Thank you! I love them too! I have a few more than four ha, but yeah I do like to keep things varied. I want to provide stuff with lots of different emotional beats, not just because it's fun to listen to, but because it's fun to perform. There's nothing sadder than a performer who's obviously not enjoying the material they're working with, and I never want to put myself in a position where I'm phoning it in.

Yeah, she's too adorable to be left out in the rain. A bit of a dry-off, some dry clothes, a hot tea and biscuit by the fire, and some conversation while she warms up. This would be a night to remember and the start of something fantastic.

I relate with her so hard. I just failed college and had to drop out. I more or less can't really take care of myself, but I'm able to pull myself together pretty well when I have somebody to do it for.
Oh, thank you! I'm so thrilled to hear that. I usually like to keep my content pretty light and frothy with a comedic edge, so something like this--with so many emotional shifts and a sadder undercurrent--was a satisfying challenge.
Ah, this was great. Very sweet, I prefer these to the creepier variety of yanderes, like the ones that keep you tied up for months and stuff like that.
"The only steps I can take is towards you" I mean who wouldn't fall for this? And the way she hesitates to say "together"? It's so heart-grabbing it's basically cheating
