Yeah.... Kanna may seem useless, but she's determined, and that's a good thing. I felt awful for Sou having to die, but he helped Sara with the "special present" , and that made Sara feel very confident, so I was glad for Sou to do that.
Notice that Kanna's first name has 5 letters. And if you pick her route, after the banquet you are left with 5 survivors. But Shin's first name has 4 letters. If you pick his route, after the banquet you are left with 4 survivors. Coincidence? *I THINK NOT!!*
Most likely a coincidence since this game was written in Japanese. However, Kanna’s name (カンナ) in Katakana has 3 characters while Shin’s name (シン) has 2. I’ll let everyone else theorize
@@Anh2VA tecnically the contrary would make more sense, only 2 people will survive the death game but you have a bigger chance to escape with sou helping you, letting only one people die, but considering sou is not pretty happy right now, maybe he would refuse to help, making the only escape option being in kanna route
I think that kanna in the kanna route it will be gin kana and the surviving twin. with the shin route having shin and keiji. I think Sara dying is the only way the group wins as she has the most chances to survive. Her death means that the weakest survive.thats also I why I think the emotion route aka kanna and reko is the true route as reko cares for kanna
@@qtsvxga it sure was it pissed me off that everybody was more upset about kanna i for one just find kanna boring i do not hate kanna it's just that she seems plain to me nao even though she was kinda weird and creepy in chapter 1 i still loved her she was best girl to me just like how i was upset about joe . there really is no happiness in this game no matter which route we pick.
@@sarapinkdiamond i personally don't like kanna's character, granted you don't exactly see much of her in the route where she dies so maybe she ends up having some cool character development, but i did find her boring. Nao was cool tho, her friendship with reko was cute :,)
I’m so late to this game, but I still want to point out how heart-breaking the dialogue between Shin and Sara was. Him calling her “Sara” instead of the usual “Ms Sara” and them just “agreeing” that Sara voted for Shin because she “hates” him. Like this is the first and ever last moment that these two rivals actually touch each other's heart. But still choose to bury their true feelings to not, at least, make what’s about to happen more devastating.

I kept Sou alive NOT because I liked him more or even because I thought it was the logical choice. I kept him alive because I hated him so f*cking much and I knew that him being alive while Kanna was dead would hurt him way more than dying ever would. GOT EM!
I don't really care for Sou, but something about Kanna's route has me intrigued. Because the last thing Sou did was think of Sara and do that with Joe's a.i.?? (I saw Logical Route Gameplay first and I know what happens) Like shouldn't he have talked to Kanna or whatever? I just know that I found it very interesting that even though he hated Sara a lot, he gave her that gift (I thought it was cute, I'm not going to lie) although extremely intriguing
the way i see it is that in sou's eyes, sara choosing to be compassionate and save kanna over making the "logical" choice of saving him proved that she wasn't the type of selfish person sou assumed she was. so i guess he felt really regretful regarding how he treated her and wanted to make it up in his last moments, meanwhile with kanna he had more or less already done everything he could for her so maybe he didn't have much to say

just an fyi youre not really supposed to kill kanna. she has great development in C3 and if you killed her off at this point and legitimately continued with the game you probably weren’t paying attention or can’t read subtext. even if you liked sou more than kanna bc shes “plain” you’d be fulfilling sou’s wish by letting kanna live. idk how people say they liked sou more so let him live and in turn do the ONE thing he begs you not to do. thats just cruel and selfish imo. sou’s entire existence up to this point is to be a pain in the ass. that said, you dont have to hate him either. he literally thanks you for killing him by setting up the joe ai. thats the whole point. it baffles me how many times the whole kanna vs sou thing went over peoples heads :( also spoilers for 3B(?) kanna reveals that sou and her are siblings, which is why sou REALLY didnt want kanna to die

I was SO frustrated with him but i knew he didn’t want to die and he was desperate to escape that fate. in the end though when he begged to save kanna i was like yeah there’s really no reason for me not to save her. after finishing C2 i did go back and see what it would be like if i chose to kill kanna, i was really glad i didnt continue the game with kanna death. :)
I honestly don't agree that calling the Sou and Kanna routes the Logic and emotion routes is right. Since I personally each route as a reflection of the character, as well as their effect on the story. (Cause unlike Reko/Alice, these two directly effect the story as well as Sara herself) Which is definitely gonna play into how the game ends. Sou's route is a reflection of his distrust of others(especially after Kanna dying, and it being due to the ones that voted for her) and Sara basically forgets Joe in this route, allowing her other self to partially awaken(letting Sara have less trust in herself) Kanna's route is a reflection of how trusting she is, and due to voting for Sara Shin helps cure Sara's hallucinations of Joe with the Joe ai, giving Sara confidence. I think it's possible each route could lead to a true ending. Like since Kanna got development in her route maybe the same will happen with Shin as well.(Like him finally moving pass Midori's influence and using his real name again. Possibly during a final confrontation with Sara.) I do think each route could lead to a true route, unless decides to pull a plot twist or something. Though it could be a similar thing like Omori where one route leads to an ending where the other leads to the true ending. I'm going for either both routes have their own true routes, or one route is an ending like hikkimori and the other is the true ending. If it's the case like Omori, my guess is Sou's route leads to an ending while Kanna's is the trie ending. That's mainly my stance on the whole route thing. I personally like both, though Shin's is definitely more interesting since there's more happening(though the endings for both routes could change everyone's stance as well) I'm currently 50/50, since each route isn't done yet.
@@esacore3053honestly, I still find Sou/Shin more bearable than any of danganronpa antags.(while I fo love them and they are good foils to the cast) Shin I at least found sympathic and his actions were understandable.(not right by any means, but understandable) I can't really say that about the DR antags. He's mostly just a turd for most of game, and mainly he's acting like Midori(real Sou), and even I can see he can't fully pull off being full Midori, cause he's still truly a nice person. I hate Midori and I still will watch his death on repeat(the death in this game I'm satisfied by) for what he did to Maple and Shin(and everyone else too, sure) I feel the only psychotic/DR antagonist characters in this game are the floormasters. I honestly don't like when people compare Shin to the DR antagonist, since he's clearly very different from them. I mean he never once says that he's enjoying the death game like the DR antagonists, though Kokichi was lying about it to deceive the mastermind.
There really isn't a right choice. If you weren't "supposed" to kill Kanna then it wouldn't have been an option and there wouldn't have been two entire separate routes for each choice. Sorry that you liked Kanna better but there valid reasons for killing her besides liking Sou more.

@@thomhtx6059 it won't allow you to vote for Keiji cuz he's the key master you also can't vote for yourself because Sara wasn't picked in the first vote.
If you try to vote Keiji, Sara says “No! That’s the one thing I can’t do!”. In the Second Trial, the message on the door said that because it was a practice round, if everyone tied their votes, no one would die. This implies that the main game does not work this way. If you voted Keiji, Sou and Kanna would die, which is why the game doesn’t allow you to vote for him.
