Beyoncé documentaries are so inspirational. After you watch them, it makes you want to work 10x harder to be successful just like her. I watch her films to give me confidence and courage.

beyoncé is a once in a lifetime kind of soul. she can be the queen yet somehow make me feel like I am connected to her. the most down to earth and real woman in the pop industry.

It's interesting to see Beyoncé say that when you're famous, you're property of the public. People don't see you as a human anymore. Because then I looked at the comments on this video and saw what I expected, loads and loads of hate. She's right. People don't treat her as a human anymore, and it's really disappointing that our society is like that.

I just woke up with one notification saying "Beyoncé posted a video", so I got to come and see this, and I have to say that this made me so happy, wake up with her voice and her inspiring is so good. This woman never ever fail to make me smile, I would give my life for her. It's so easy to see that she is not one of those celebs that just think about money and fame. She has a heart too, she has feelings, and I believe so much in her. I'm 13 about to turn 14, clearly I don't have what to say too much about life but I say that she saved mine and I would do whatever for her, she keeps me alive. I honestly hope I met her one day to say how much I love her with all my heart. My queen, my everything.

"When you are famous nobody looks at you as human anymore...." When I see comments like "You are rich bitch, you don't have to worry about nothing" or "She is not real"......that is what Beyoncé is talking about. Because apparently celebrities don't have feelings to you people. Y'all criticize people like Beyoncé for doing the very same shit you and people around you do all the damn time. But because a person is famous, there is a secret agenda. Anybody who finds something negative to say about this video clearly just let the video go straight right over their head. You too busy listening to your set thoughts of her rather than the words that she was saying. Even if you still don't like her, you should still be able to understand and agree about what she was talking about.

Revisiting this a decade later; finding a deeper meaning in every word she is saying. I remember being 13 yo and taking it as a lesson to get through it; now i see the impact it had on my perception of the world and myself. Feeling extremely blessed to be able to live along side with her and on live time. A life teacher, a mastermind, an ARTIST. love u b

This era really and truly was about her grappling with the "failure" of her marriage.

This is a beautiful video displaying Beyonce's perspective on human life. If a person watched this and thought she wanted you to feel sorry for her, then you definitely missed the point! If you would carefully listen and stop judging, then you would appreciate the beautiful message in this video. I personally loved when she mentioned the death of her tour photographer/ friend, Yosra. That woman passed from Cancer and had more life in her than people suffering from less. The message of this video is to not take the simple things in life for granted and to appreciate everything you encounter, good or bad! I love you, Beyoncé!1

Not enough people know the true definition of feminism, and not enough people equate being a feminist with someone who empathises with the male struggle as well, and wants gender relations to be better for all. When Prince passed, I read an article about a woman who was a super fan of his. Everyone knew she loved Prince. She stated how everyone, including people she went to high school with, reached out to her to make sure she was okay. I told my mother (also a Prince fan) this story. She told me “that’s going to be you when Beyoncé passes.” And this video shows that. Her legacy is cemented. I’ve loved her my entire life.

I worry when she puts stuff out like this because it makes me think that this is her last album and she won't be making anymore music. As beautiful as this piece was it makes me worry

It's October 2017. This documentary has part that it feels like I am hearing my own thoughts being narrated back to me. I've watched it and closed my iPad and simply just listened and it made me extremely emotional. When she said, it's start by you looking in the mirror and say; I like that person. I tried to do it, I couldn't say the words. I just couldn't and that's when I realized that all my life, I've been trying to please everyone, saying what everyone around me wants me to say... this is incredibly touching.

A lot of people have misjudged Beyonce for this particular album. They misjudged this as negative or as something that proves that she has changed. Beyonce has not changed, she is just showing another side of herself that nobody has ever seen before. She sometimes wishes she was anonymous, yet she is brave enough to expose more of herself to the world. That in itself is true bravery, something that proves that she is extraordinary.

something that helps to glorify Beyonce is that you don't really see much of who someone is or who they want people to think they are to this level in this genre of music, she seems more real now than she ever did because of the scope that she has given the people who like her/look up to her. I don't even listen to pop/hip hip/mainstream nowadays music but I now listen to Beyonce because represents something real.

What some people can't stand about Beyonce is not only is she stunningly beautiful on the outside but her INSIDE matches in a world where the vapid and shallow are celebrated on FLEEK. Unhappy people need something…anything…to feel resentful and bitter about so the projection on BEYONCE and anyone else for that matter will never stop. Of who Beyonce is as a person and the incredible hard work, dedication, and courage it took to make this visual album into a reality. There's so many people out there that hate Beyonce and everything she does and I will never understand them. But that's okay. I dont have to. All I have to understand is the fact that Beyonce is a REAL human being with REAL fears, anxieties and doubts. With REAL desires, loves, and joys. She is willing to share that with the world through music and art. That is enough for me to understand that I have great respect for her and who she is as a woman, musician, and person.

The part about being famous and how difficult it can be to do ordinary things, I can't imagine what that must feel like. Insinuating moments of wanting to give up but her mom taught her to stay strong, no matter what. WOW! The honesty she has revealed to us, this era and without doing any TV interviews, has me having more respect for who Beyoncé is and what she does than ever before. Man this is so beautiful and is the perfect epilogue to Self-Titled. It’s also a preview of the spoken word in Lemonade, which took the imagery of Self-Titled and the narration of Your & Mine and combined them into her magnum opus. Beyoncé’s progression as an artist is so so authentic if you really pay attention. Her words and storytelling in this essay are so powerful. Well done!
