Thank goodness for your podcast, Adam. In this crazy time when everything seems to be filtered through a lens that includes politics and cultural issues, you keep this podcast right where it should be: in the realm of entertainment. Your enlightening commentary always adds to each episode, and is usually just as interesting. Thanks for doing what you do. And....yes this Johnny Dollar episode is one of the better ones of 1957.

I 'm with you on the theme music, Adam . How can you not listen to the William Tell overture and not think of the Lone Ranger. The iconic Perry Mason theme , Magnum P.I., Gunsmoke, A Team , Star Trek. Wagon Train. So many others they are part of the experience. Why do people want to eliminate theme songs. What is wrong with them. The people not the songs.

Of course people don't really skip through either the Rockford Files, The Greatest American Hero, or the Magnum P. I. theme songs. All theee of those songs were on the U.S. top 100. The Rockford Files is one of the highest charting television theme songs. It reached # 10.
