Ocean Park & Marina del Rey are both Venice Beach. I worked @ Venice Post Office in 1971. I grew up in Venice Beach my first 20 years. I watched all the changes and actually returned several times in 76 & 85 & 2011 when the Walk for Peace started and i got to return to Thornton Towers where i spent my first 5 years where Isadora Duncan lived and danced when Venice was first built and before Venice went bankrupt and joined LA.

Somebody would make a lot of folks happy if they took these five part episodes and EDITED OUT THE CLOSING THEME MUSIC so it went straight to the next episode without that overly loud and dramatic theme music. Yes it is a great piece of period music, but it gets really annoying listening to it EVERY TIME AN EPISODE ENDS. But these are otherwise stellar shows!

Has any regular listener noticed how many of the scripts turn on the coast, seafaring, boats, or cargo vessels? That makes me wonder about Jack Dawson and/or John Johnstone. Since Bob Bailey was a scriptwriter too, I wonder if he had an interest in those themes.

At the end of the episode , Johnny announced a change in the broadcasting schedule . From 5 days a week to one...was this the beginning of the end for this show ?

You can always fast forward to shorten the show's Theme Music to suit your taste. "These are otherwise STELLAR SHOWS " !? These ARE STELLAR SHOWS , PERIOD. "THAT'S A FACT " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People tried to do this to the TV SERIES , " THE FUGITIVE " . Some people decided to change the music , beginning to end . Fortunately , DEVOTED FANS and PURISTS-- ONE PERSON IN PARTICULAR , WERE ABLE TO RECAPTURE THE ORIGINAL MUSIC AND THE SHOW'S MAIN THEME SOUNDTRACK. TO DELETE ANY OR PART OF THE SHOW'S MUSIC GAVE " THE FUGITIVE" A DIFFERENT FEEL ULTIMATELY CHANGING THE SERIES. "THAT'S A FACT"

I kept losing interest and had to keep starting over with this one. Never got through to the end. Story didnt flow like other episodes. But i will try again. :0)
