Agreed, they need to learn some humility, but their parents allow it because the whole broke-ass family's future is riding on these kids 'making it" which most of them will not...
It’s ALWAYS been that way. I remember me and my friends/peers back then, was WAYYYY worse. Back then there were REAL egos, not this fake bluff ego, like really real.
The bad attitudes caused me to walk away from coaching after 10 years. Hard work, discipline, and respect was my focus, and unfortunately many parents didn't like that. So I retired. 💯
In my opinion, competitive team sports has always displayed the same basic core principles as the military. Hard work, discipline, respect, team work, brotherhood, doing YOUR job and trusting your brother will do his, as well as a certain selflessness. There truly is no I in team. When you walk in the gym, the only thing that matters is the ball and the team. Leave your egos outside at the door b4 you enter my gym. It's not the kids that made me retire from coaching AAU, it was the parents, constantly trying to undermine my teachings instead of reinforcing good values. Shooting around w your kid in the driveway only teaches them how to play ball. The values I instill in children can teach them how to be true professionals, as well as successful, well-rounded human beings.
@@carpenterman504pff don’t be naive you act like the military Isn’t on a spectrum from the hood examples to the bad example jus like every facet in life. There’s literally war criminals and dick head kids that they thought was fixed by military school waiting to get a highe position and get comfortable There are also trash talkers etc lol stop so be realistic one ideal may be pushed but it’s not the reality
Those are fake. He probably drew those on himself with a sharpie or had someone else do it. Who the hell would tattoo a kid. The person who did the tattoo could get in trouble and no one would risk that
The skills these kids possess are just a sign of the times. The world has advanced in so many ways, so it's just natural that this would happen with the kids. They are exposed to a lot more and have a lot more information in previous generations. I'm early forties and we grew up wanting to be like Michael Jordan. We weren't doing drills like the NBA players at that age we didn't know anything about that. These kids can find any basketball-related info they need online.
@@Cashmere_Gaming Nah they just know theyre good. Stop hating dude you dont know a single kid in this video or what their work ethic is like. Dont be upset that youre just a gamer.
@@ongodddd everyone was a kid before dork , i make gaming videos now but i played ball before , im not hating i admitted I’m envious but never said they dont work hard but that they take it for granted … look at Ja morant
The game is played different now. I was years ahead of kids my age when I was 12. if I ever dribbled between the legs, went behind the back or shot a 3 the coach would take you out. So much different these days
What’s crazy is some of these kids won’t even be playing basketball in the next couple years or they won’t get that much better they are hitting there peak now and A lot of those kids that are getting overlooked are going to surpass them, shout out to the youth tho!!!!🙏🏽
I don’t think I’ve ever seen 4th graders play at this high of a skill level. Literally. They’re in the 4th grade, playing like this?!?!??? I hope all these youngsters are protected and cared for, remain healthy and keep their head on their shoulders….I can’t wait to see what happens when they’re hopefully playing professionally.
It’s just sad to see kids (besides me bc I’m a kid too) caring about getting the goofy stuff like celebrations, ankle breakers, etc. and flexing it at the school bus line. (Respect)
I'm more concerned about the hundreds of thousands of these "can't miss" kids who will be forgotten the day they're cut. Parents acting like fools, believing they gave birth to the next MJ or Kobe
You don’t need the typical school route unless you wanna be a lawyer or doctor or some shit like that. 100x more secure to go for a trade or STEM field. You won’t be getting a bs degree with hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loans.
I remember when I was on court… omg, nothing like these guys.Their parents have to be so proud of them. Wishing them nothing but all the best, always. Keep up the great job!
This ladies and gentlemen is why I have stepped away from coaching. Parents don't know how to raise kids anymore. Every parent wants their child to be either a social media star or an athlete. I don't care what anyone thinks these kids will never be good basketball players. Developing ego and ignorance at this age can derail any chance at a future in sports
Thanks for your time and knowledge bro you just put me on to something that's my first time seeing these younger kids play they are more skilled send a lot of people I grew up with their age do you got a new subscriber
I know william peagler me and him went to school together in 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th grade thats crazy seeing him on one of the best teams I wish him the best
People act like these kids don’t have horrible attitudes BECAUSE of their parents. These kids are bad sports because their parents teach them it’s okay to act that way on the court, the amount of trash talking I hear from parents at these kids games is pretty horrific. We keep talking about this generation being disrespectful, where do you think they are learning that from, not the internet-their parents.
Parents, of course, but also the Internet, which they use because their parents let them. And NBA players and rappers too. The entertainment industry. It's a mix of things.
Ayo those little shorties are real ballers!!! The competition is fierce. I think they watch a lot of Memphis Grizzlies basketball. They have a smack talking game too. Fun to watch! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So.... you have just gotten me to watch the most basketball in my life!!! I am 55!!! I love this video and I love because you see the skill of these amazing child athletes! Amazing! Great video and just great shots, and you got a fan here! New fan to the sport because of these young athletes that make me feel that I missed so much not being able to have the time as a child to get into sports. I was an instrumentalist and theatre kid! 12 instruments and such so... ya. Anyway thank you for your channel! Really amazing talent!
I love to see this, and I hope the coach give all the kids equal playing time. They have their whole lives to think about prospect. The biggest challenge now is keeping these kids proactive and healthy. Making sure these kids are not overcome by obesity, drugs, gangs and crime. It all starts with the Youth.
They need to learn is what they need. THe concept of avoiding those evils is the parents job. I wasnt allowed into sports because I was neglected and therefore had bad grades.
@@liammonaghan4785 Of course not, but "talent" is subjective in many aspects and its super over-used these days.. And really, Basketball is a lot less about talent, and much more about genetics.. You have to be super tall and athletic. I mean just look at Ben Simmons.. Dude has next to no "talent" for the actual fundamentals of the game, solely relies on his genetics and athleticism, and somehow people label him the next Lebron(up until recently)...
Bro these little kids are good 😂😂 The only crappy thing is that with all the cameras watching them, they're more prone to showing out and having bad sportsmanship and having bad attitudes
I actually have 😂 There was a kid I played football against back in the day that had a shoulder tatoo in elementary. It was before 5th grade. This was back in the day too. Pretty sure his parents were drug addicts
6 students from my set back in 95 drew tatoos on their body, we were in jss 3 (equivalent to junior high). The 6 students were isolated from about 80 of us and got the Idi Amin VIP treatment, we the innocent were also not spared.
Lil young And 1 dude's. Happy to see some of the youth on the courts instead of being on the block. Hat's off to their parents as well. I'll be waiting them on.
Yeah duh. Its rare that these kids nowadays dont come from some type of money. Basketball training and aau at higher levels is expensive, and unless you have an insane physique and people want you on their team to train you or some insane skill, expect to cough up some money.
Some of these guys in the future are gonna be really good, learning the game at a young age and playing at a high level at young age, the games evolving to where there just gonna get better
It’s 2:54am and I’m watching several basketball games at all levels starting with elementary students and I am enjoying these games like NBA games I mean these young men are extraordinary they have unbelievable talent and confidence plus good sportsmanship. I would like to be at the games for real. I’m in Miami Dade County are you all playing anywhere in Florida? I wish all of you the best. #Ballers
In today's society, you can't say anything real that is not praising someone. The problem with this video is that you are overlooking that some of these kids won't get much better than they are now. Then let's not forget the ones who aren't as good, but will emerge later on. Reaching back to middle school is a desperate reach, but everyone wants to be able to say I told you so back then.
