Looking back, my favorite grade would have to be 3rd grade simply because that's the first interaction I can remember having with my wife!! Albeit the interaction was her punching me in the mouth during a game of tag on the playground which led to me avoiding her for the next decade til we were both in college... I guess you could say it was a love "tap"!!!!
10th grade. I went to a Christian school, and in 10th grade they took us on a missions trip to Guatemala. That was life-changing. Also just liked high school. Much more freedom!
Favorite grade was between 7th thru 8th, I lived in Germany at that time and had the most amazing friends and community (my inspiration of being a youth leader). By the way when you said 3 weekend services...not only the owl, but also madame medusa from the rescuers. 😂
yes I would love to see a video of how that looks. Question of the day: favorite grade was 7th. That was the first grade for middle school where I'm from and loved switching classes, feeling more grown lol, getting independence. Also, school sports started in middle school, so definitely my favorite year!
yes i am interested.. and can you help me with ideas for my small youth group we only have 8 -13 come & this is 6th -12th grade. this year we have more 10th and 12th grade.
Bedtime is for suckers! Or as we would say in 10th grade, my favorite year of school, “sleep is for the weak” I was in marching band, drum line, and jazz band and it takes over all your free time but I learned a ton and got to do it with my best friend
I am the youth director at our church and would love to see a video of your youth services. Sunday and midweek. Thank you so much for the videos. Have learned done great pointers including renovating the youth room which is in progress now. God bless 🙏
I haven't watched a ton of your videos so this may be here somewhere but do you have insight into youth ministry for Grades 9-12 as well or are these all going to be geared towards Grades 6-8? Thanks in advance
Hey Jeff! Thank you for watching....Most of the episodes we do can be applied to both (obviously just adjust as needed for your specific context)...I think there are only a couple episodes that are specific for just middle school or high school.
I would say 5th grade because both teachers that I had that year played all time quarterback every time we played football on the macadam during afternoon recess 😊.
I would say that my favorite grade in school would have been senior year. My classes were super easy and I didn't have to worry about getting to the end. Lot's of "senior" classes that I really didn't need to be in. I was more interested in the social aspect of school than the education side.

Great episode as always you two and congrats on 150 episodes! I think it would be a great idea to see a demo of your program as you mentioned, it would be very helpful. My favorite grade is back in middle school but my 8th grade year, we did so many cool events for our last year in middle school, like retreats and dances and fun field days…but most importantly for me was I was struggling with one class and was risking not graduating but the teacher gave me a special project to work on and it gave me a chance to pick up my grade and graduate, she was so awesome 😊. Now off to bed I go….but wait…bedtime is for suckers!! Lol 😉 😂 💤
My favorite grade was when I was a Jr in highschool. I took a nursing class with my favorite teacher ever. Mrs Trott was like a mom to all of us girls in that class. It was a 3 period long class and in the end we received our CNA license. Cool at the time, but I made the decision that I NEVER wanted to be a nurse after that lol, but I did have the most caring and genuine teacher so it was worth taking the class just for that! She taught us so much more than just nursing skills.
Bedtime is for suckers....and cute little girls making fog characters. She is adorable. And Kristen, we are glad you decided to do the podcast! You guys have such great ideas and I love your energy!
It used to always be 2nd grade. My teacher was funny. But as I get older, I think my senior year was probably my favorite. Even though I was ready to be done, it was a super chill year and I was only doing fun stuff.
8th grade was my favorite. I really started getting in to basketball at this point. And I had so many friends at school and church. I had a lot of fun!!
