All of the Dads have interesting routes. It might be a hassle to go through them all, but there's always the skip button! But if you want suggestions for which Dad you should go for first, Craig is not a bad choice. However, everyone else playing this game on RU-vid is going for Craig, so maybe leave him for second or something. Robert's my personal favorite, but Hugo's route is very funny and charming. Damien's lovely, Mat the same, and Brian's plays with your expectations. It seems like a bad route to pick, but it's clever in the end. As for Joseph's route... No commentary.
The most time-efficient way to complete all the routes is raise all dads up to 2 Hearts then make sure you have access to Dadbook before the final date (which usually means deleting subsequent saves to make sure it doesn't get overwritten)
Damien and Robert tie for my favourite endings honestly, (I've done all of them) and honestly I didn't expect either of them to? But Damien completely stole my heart after the first date and Robert got the biggest emotional reaction from me
Damien, Mat, or Hugo were my favorites of the dads. I love Craig, but almost everyone and their grandads went for him first. Which is totally not on you in the end. Damn you Craig for being so damn likable and hot!
Also, if you had gone to watch "the Game" you would have met Mary and Robert (and also slept with him - but if you want to date him, accepting his proposal actually messes it up)
Same! It would be really nice to hear his thoughts on what's going on more often. His chill voice makes me a bit sleepy when he just strictly narrates.
Uh, let's see. Player Character: Amanda. Mat: Carmensita. Craig: Hazel, Briar and River. Hugo: Ernest. Joseph: Chris, Christie, Christian, Crish. Damian: Lucian. Brain: Daisy. Robert: Idk her name but I'm pretty sure he has a daughter. So, 8 girls and 5 boys. I've seen worse gender gaps tbh. Granted, most of the boys are Joseph's but three out of eight dads still have boys and, again, not the worst gender gap I've ever seen. I imagine the main reason most of the dads have at least one daughter is because there aren't many characters in the game aside from the dads (who obviously have to be men) and the kids. The only way they could get a more equal gender balance in the game without adding unnecessary characters was to make most of the children girls. Although, I don't really see why it needs an explanation. There have been games/movies/TV shows/etc that have had one girl to every two boys or only one girl (even when it's not supposed to be aimed at any gender) without any explanation behind it. Tbh, I don't think many people would even notice the gender gap if it was 8 boys to 5 girls, heck. Like, I'm not trying to be rude or call you out or anything like that, I just think maybe we're just so used to seeing more guys than girls in things that we notice it more when that's not how something is. I mean, how many shows or movies can you name that have more prominent girl characters than boys that ISN'T explicitly aimed at girls or women? Literally the only thing I can think of is Steven Universe and tbh I'm not entirely sure if that counts seeing as most of the 'women' in the show are actually genderless space rocks. Wow, this got kinda rant-y, didn't it? Uh, sorry about that. I hope that answered your question?
thevampirefrog06 Uh, aside from calling River dude and buddy (which can be gender neutral terms, though they lean towards male) Craig and all the other characters use she/her pronouns for River. So, Rivers most likely a girl unless it turns out their trans. Tbh, I think it might be better to just not count River simply on the basis that they're a baby and I find gendering babies really fucking weird. Like, they never agreed to being called a girl? But, whatever, depending on whether you count River there's either 8 girls and 5 boys or 7 girls and 5 boys and a baby.
Btw, you nailed Rococo. It's an artistic movement from the late baroque period... and is uber garish. Imagine a Disney Princess castle redecorated by Liberace. With a vajazzle kit.
I second this! I wonder why where's so little love for Hugo ... Is it the 'stache? I think it's the 'stache. Such a shame, his storyline is probably one of the most rewarding and unique, plus he's such a cinnamon roll :)
Maybe it's because he's Amanda's teacher? I don't know, it sounds like it would complicate things, and maybe that's why he's not chosen often. I would think twice before dating one of my kid's teachers (but I don't have kids, so... no clue).
Though I still see Mat as choice #1, part of me wants to get to see more of Damian. Writing him off as a foppish goober might be missing out on an interesting and deeply emotional person, as plenty of the much-derided gothy types turn out to be.
Wow, this short break must have lasted a while. It's been two weeks since you put this up and the next episode is nowhere to be seen. Which is a shame because I'm loving the series. Don't feel too pressured to interject your opinion like the other comments tell you. Yes, that *is* the best part of the series, but it works because it's natural. Keep doing you, Dadtasmo.
Craig and Mat are soooo my types. Too bad Craig is always carrying that baby around, but I guess his commitment is hot. Just to make sure I dont miss out, I date them all. If I only can be remembered for one thing, I want it to be that.
