Sponsorblock already does that for Years with way more features than RU-vid can provide But being a default feature is ok as long as it doesn't go to premium
I’m actually sick of creators filling their videos with ads embedded within the video despite me paying for YT Premium. I’m excited about this feature as a viewer. Also might curb the channels that do a painfully long intro to pad their video out to 10 minutes
That's exactly what I thought when I saw this. I was like "oh looks like yt is finally catching up" lol. Funny thing is sponsorblock will ultimately be better though since the timestamps are done by actual people.
@@moonhowler13 Yeah, I was gonna say the same. And even without sponsorblock, youtube's had that grey graph above the scrub bar for a long time, if I want to get to the best part I can already just jump to where that graph spikes. Apart from "We have to do something with AI," I really don't see how this'll change all that much. But hey, I'm open to being proven wrong; I mean, changes to how youtube works are always _so_ well received, right? /s
But how would Ai know what the best part of a video is? I like the chapter segmentation feature, but telling someone what the best part of a video is could be annoying, at least, and dangerous at worst.
I've had nothing but trouble with youtube for a few weeks. It's F'd and frustrating. I guess they just keep screwing around with it until we all give up.
