It turned out great! Thanks so much for the shout outs! And big thanks for the feedback , I've beefed up the documentation and made it harder for people to ignore it exists 😂 I also added an option on my tindie store for a ribbon cable, this could be used with male headers soldered to the p-in connection as a similar work around to what Luni did. The cable Luni used is perfect but I could not find one at a cheap price. If people have any questions on the PCB please feel free to ask!
Constantly debugging "customer programming" (kit instructions) is part of the life of any kit supplier. And its great when a customer like bitluni shows you more ways to get it wrong. LOL. "Failure is always an option." And it was fun watching this bit of mis-execution. Thanks!
Check out my GitHub (witnessmenow on GitHub) I have it done for a few APIs already (although most need to be updated to Arduino JSON V6) Instagram, twitter, instructables, Hacakaday.io are all done
The 32 bit joke was so funny, but so impossible to explain to my kid. "Well, you see, tiny mistakes lead to a disproportionate amount of frustration..."
Wow! Another great video stuffed with humour... I'm not quite sure if you made your mistakes on purpose, but regardless I really liked how you used them in this video. Oh... the counter is quite nice too! (Coincidentally I completed my very own Blough LED Matrix YT counter a week ago, but my lack of video skills gave me too much material to timely edit into a new upload...)
Ich liebe deine Videos, aber sind nicht so gut mit ein soldering iron, gibst es ein Möglichkeit das man ein plug and Play Kit kaufen kann? Mit ein wenos oder ein raspberry pi, oder ein adurino und ein Matrix Display
You should really quit using those old type names (like unsigned short) and use the modern and specific names like uint32_t. Easier to read and catch these problems earlier.
How are you getting a precise amount of subs on screen? I have made an Awtrix project and throuh youtube API it shows only with steps of a 100. Like 1100 1200 1300 etc.
How about the scrolling matrix background. In the video you said that you removed it because it was not showing on camera.. But I would really like to have it back...is it included in de code? I don't see it....can you share?
Glad it's not just me. I soldered the angled box header on the wrong edge of the board. I managed to de-solder all 16 pins, but not without mangling and melting the part. Waiting for my order of 25 2x8 box headers to arrive via eBay... :-/ Should have plenty of spares.
Always nice to see someone go into their deep inventory of "will do something with this someday" parts and finally use a part. Maybe there's hope for the rest of us! ;^) Also, congrats for achieving long int subscriber territory.
I thought this will be a perfect clone of the LaMetric! But it's really just a nerd youtube subs counter. :( Could we somehow get a copy of the LaMetric?
I made that same mistake soldering up the V1.0.0 board. Unfortunately I don't have a desoldering gun and destroyed the 2x8 header. So had to make do with a pair of 8-pin female headers.
OMG I nearly spit out my drink when I heard the 2001 music and watched the count go to zero, oops, in this case LONGer is better. Thank you for keeping the fails in the video, we are all just humans. Keep broadcasting!!
Great my brother! The involuntary touches of humor are the best x-) ... Never stop uploading videos, you are one of my favorite youtubers. Greetings from Argentina!
Great content! keep going like that! I have a challenge for you, I've recently switched from lead acid to 12v LiFepo battery for my motorcycle and I'm struggling to find a proper 2 phase CC CV charger, so I'm wondering, is it possible to build one myself ? It will be great to see your video guide on that topic!!! bye!
Quick question: you have a yield() the line before a delay(1000), does that actually do anything as surely the delay is returning control to the scheduler anyway? Cheers!
Wie verhält sich denn die Zahl wenn sie 6 stellig wird wie jetzt? :-) Werden die Ziffern kleiner oder schneidet er hinten die letzte oder erste Zahl aus?
