Ive been more and more often closing out of YT when I open it and opt for Rumble instead. If more content creators start uploading therw it will become easier. And the platform will surely get better features and ad support with an increased user base.

I got a first time notification of a like (actually the 17th), then I checked the thread out, and found 3 replies to me specifically...17👍& 3 replies...one, and only one, notification. 😂 I had one comment over 1k👍's and only 8 notifications. 😂 Only had a couple 24hr bans for "hate speech" so far. Gotta work on those #'s.

Yeah neither does the content creators but they can get monetization elsewhere such as Patreon. I also use SmartTube for my android tv box and it also blocks the ads and can skip the in video sponsors as well.

I was raised in commiefornia by a commie family. Most I got to shoot was a .22 rifle once every few months at an over-regulated range an hour away. My first exposure to a handgun was working for a medical company, at a patient’s house who was dying. He asked if I’d be willing to shoot his S&W 500. It was the first revolver I ever shot, at age 21. I’m 30 now and I have undying loyalty to the constitution, and love my firearms. I say this to say, the exposure is absolutely necessary to slow down the tide of communism. I’m calling it for what it is- they want us disarmed to start their communist dictatorship. RU-vid, being the spear of the culture war, cannot be abandoned. We have to stick with it until it’s impossible to post gun content here, because the exposure it creates buys us more time to create more patriots.
I think that youtube should remember that "firearms" related channels are their highest watched and subscribed channels. If we were to boycott youtube they would lose.

Nope they won't. It even says for film in the policy change that it'll be fine including war footage (so Ukraine war gets a pass)...so it's okay to show "weapons of war" then? It's also apparently okay to show Holocaust footage but god forbid showing lots of guns being fired at paper targets/being disassembled is where they draw a line
just watch on another platform, create competition. easy as spending 10-20 minutes on smaller platforms spreading the views. get your favorite creator to upload to competitor.
plenty of options out there, more viewers on them will make more creators move, more competition means yt has less control and has to compete with open policies.

RU-vid has NEVER been a profitable business. It's burning google ad revenue to control what you see and hear, thus controlling what you say and think. That's the goal, not profit.

better yet spend your time, or a portion of it watching on other platforms. create the competition needed to force platforms to compete for creators to come to them rather than one platform holding all the viewers.

SmartTube for Android tv boxes and TVs and CleanTube and Newpipe for Android phones. They block all the ads and they don't make a penny off of the ads on RU-vid and SmartTube will also skip the in-video sponsors in the videos you watch. It does miss a few sponsor sections but only once in a while.
RU-vid is a private company. In 2020, a US court ruled that RU-vid is a private company and that the First Amendment's Free Speech Clause does not apply to it.
I noticed they actually created an "outdoor" section.... one of the first platforms to do so. Hope more people will spend a little time of this platform to help growth and competition.
I disagree with you sir. RU-vid is a private business, so they chose what gets published on their website. If that’s the route they want to take then we should all go to another platform that won’t decide what gets censored or not. A lot of their guidelines don’t make sense
RU-vid does not owe you first amendment rights. Any attempt to sue over that would get you laughed out of court. Waste your money and time if you want though.
What people do not understand about "Freedom of the Press" is that it applies to the person or company that OWNS the press or venue. The owners or their representatives (editors) can decide the content of what they publish. We, the reader can not force the publisher what to publish or not publish except by economic pressure or maybe tort (lawsuit) action, as in giving children access to adult material.
