So cute. My mother bought lots of AG products for my daughter. She loved bitty baby best. I stored all ye stuff and was able to pass on to her daughter who is old enough to play with Bitty but a few more years to get the bigger doll.

Watching replay. I bought 6 of my 7 daughters an American girl doll. My oldest was born in 1982 and I never heard of the doll. But my daughter born in 1990 wanted one. We had 12 kids so I put in several orders throughout the year. My girls got a bitty baby and a doll that looked like them. Mary got Molly and the beautiful native american doll. My daughters still have their dolls and accessories. The youngest is almost 18. I had a 1951 doll from my stepmom. I gave it to 1 of my daughters because she really loved it and I had it since I was 10. 50 yrs ago. Molly had her leg fall off and went to the american girl hospital. We checked on her status like she was human. Everyone was happy when she came home with a patient gown.

When I was 10-11 years old, I wanted a Cabbage Patch Doll for Christmas. I did already have one, but I loved dolls and wanted one of the new Cornsilk Kids versions.Well, my mom had decided that I was too old for dolls. So I got a Barbie, and my sister got twin Cabbage Patch boys. I mean, that is just rude, right? Lol. I still remember how sad it made me. So last year, at the age of 4, I bought myself a vintage Cabbage Patch doll off Ebay. I didn't buy one of the really expensive ones. But I didn't want a new one. I wanted the old style 80s ones. I love that doll. I made a scrapbook page about her too. Her name is Penelope Rose :)

Your story about your childhood friend having every American Girl thing that she wanted brought back a "Mom Memory" for me. When I was a new mom, my Mom gave me some great advice the day we were in a store and my daughter was bugging me for something. She said, "Just because you CAN afford to buy a child something, doesn't mean you SHOULD." I clearly couldn't afford to buy my children everything they wanted, but at that time, I think my Mom just wanted to lay a foundation in case some day I had money. LOL. My Mom was one of the smartest women I knew, and I took her advice to heart. I now have grandchildren I would love to spoil, but I don't.

Victoria love these layouts. What is the title of the kit you used??? I love dolls. My mom did. She collected barbies and porcelain dolls. I collect them plus baby dolls that you buy for your children to play. I was made to feel like a weirdo or a freak(not that it stopped me!). So so happy to hear you collect them still and you have subscribers, too, who collect dolls! Lol

My worst problem that prevents me from crafting is a messy craft area. I have a good space but relatively small so it’s easily cluttered. I’m thinking of removing some items from my desk top so it’s it so cluttered.

Trust me...if you can take some time organize your space, you will feel so much better! Especially if you are willing to let some stuff go. Purging is freedom! LOL!
