Are you facing problem in youtube phone verification? Are you unable to lift youtube channel feature restrictions? When you provide phone number you get this error: "There was a problem sending a verification code to provided phone number. Please enter a different phone number." You provide different phone number but you get same error.
Where is the error? In youtube studio,
click settings icon at bottom left corner,
go to channel section,
click feature eligibility,
click eligible button in 'intermediate features' section,
click 'verify phone number',
provide phone number and click on 'get code' button.
But you get this error.
I tried 3 different phone numbers but I got same issue. RU-vid says: One phone number can be used to verify two channels per year. I used live chat and communicated this issue to youtube support team. They requested screenshot and video recording. I provided that. They said they are looking into this issue and will respond when they find solution. But I did not get response from RU-vid support team yet.
So what is the solution?
- Try clearing browser cache
- Try different web browser
- Use call option to get verification code
- Change phone number. Use a phone number that is not used to verify youtube channel yet.
One of these may solve your issue.
If you are in Pakistan, do not use Jazz or uFone phone number. Use Telenor phone number. I tried Jazz and uFone but I had same issue. Then I had to get new Telenor SIM, to just solve this issue.
New Telenor phone number solved this issue for me. So use Telenor phone number to fix the issue if you are in Pakistan.
My channel is verified now via phone.
Channel verification is necessary because then you will be able to:
- Upload videos longer than 15 minutes
- Use custom thumbnails (very important)
- You will be able to do live streams
