So I was three beers deep and watching Joker, trying to wind down and enjoy life, when Nock-nock (one of my cats) proudly trotted into my bedroom and dropped something by his food bowl, which is adjacent to my mattress. I squinted and saw what looked like a toy mouse, but I didn't remember packing any of the toy mice when I moved to my dad's house. Curious, I paused Joker and got up to find... a dead baby mouse. I stared in shock for a few seconds, and then when it really hit me that Nock-nock decided to deliver a "present" in my bedroom of all places, I just started this autistic rage-screaming. I was just thinking, "bro, I'm too drunk for this shit" and demanding Nock-nock move the dead mouse, like he could speak human or something. Then my dad asked me what was wrong and I was just like "WHERE ARE THE GLOVES? WHERE IS THE BROOM?" and I was fully prepared to remove this dead rodent from my room. Then Dad said "pick it up by the tail in case it's just playing dead," and I was like, "i will, but it's totally dead." So I got my broom and a paper bag and i swept it and then THE MOTHERFUCKER STARTED TWITCHING and I just shouted "FALSE ALARM. FALSE ALARM. IT'S STILL ALIVE!" and i just started yelling in a panic because what if that cute, fuzzy fucker bites me and I get some disease? But I couldn't just leave it there to be eaten alive or something, I had to let it outside to die in peace, but I was failing to sweep it into the bag because it kept moving, so my father came in and (i shit you not) started stomping on it to make sure it was dead. I remember I was just clutching the broom and screaming in drunken horror listening to it's little bones crack. And then my dad called me a wimp and tossed it outside. :/ Well, today Nock-nock caught another mouse and allegedly chased it into my room, but I can't find this one anywhere. I'm naming it Lil Mickey, I guess I've got a new roommate because my cats are more interested in batting them around and sleeping. i just had to get that off my chest. if you enjoyed reading that, you know what you'd really like? THANK YOU, I am in the EXACT same situation, hearing this really just fucking made my day. Not because you're in a bad situation but that I can finally find someone who is going through the same situation as I am it's so relieving?? I had to leave my home in the middle of an amazing place, I was getting help with my depression I was slowly coming back to school after finally being able to talk to someone and get help but because my mom wanted to ditch our life in that amazing town I was forced to live with her new boyfriend in the middle of fucking nowhere, for 4 years. I was so close to the edge, breaking down every day, cutting frequently, starting to take random drugs I could find because my depression was worse and worse; my mom's bursts of anger or frustration getting so frequent, her boyfriends degradation of me I had taken the step and leave to move to a city at 17 alone to live with my Dad and grandparents. I was promised so many opportunities and things were going great for a few months I had a government program helping me with income for 2 months then they would have me hired for a job in the 3rd or 4th month. (I needed the help I dropped out of high school completion for those 4 years with my mom's bf). I never expected my dad to help he was a previous addict and current is 50 living with his parents without a job and just sitting around all day. It's been so hard finding a job that the program I was with can't even help me find a job. I LAND INTERVIEWS, I frequently lookout and for jobs but I keep getting declined or put on the back burner. It's been 3 months now and my bills are piling up. I'm stressed and depressed to an extreme amount I've taken up smoking just to help slightly (a friend is a heavy smoker offers me a few every week or so I don't buy them). The program doesn't contact me anymore. I'm so lost and alone, its been really hard honestly and it's just so soothing to my soul to hear someone just go through it the same I don't feel as isolated anymore and I got some more motivation now to keep running.

I really like the open dialogue you have about your problems - it really it home when you mentioned the problems with money impacting your life- legitimately poverty effects my mental illness more than having a crack head live with me- it’s a constant struggle and I feel like I’ve made so many mistakes due to desperate times and I can tell your much smarter than me and won’t.
