The story of David Shaw goes deeper than that, he literally wrote the book on deep diving and he didn't get "tangled" with the corpse. He retrieved it but realized he didn't have enough time left to reach the surface so he tied the corpse and himself to the line so it would be easier for rescuers to recover THEIR bodies. Even in death, he was thinking about others.
I came here to say this. He's a hero and managed to retrieve the body of Dion. Dions parents said when they were laying his body to rest, they had a moment where they saw their son was wearing a pair of underwear they had gotten him right before he passed away, and cried being able to have that last moment with their son
He is absolutely a hero and someone who put others before himself in everything. In the documentary, he says that if this dive fails, or he doesn't return, under no circumstances should someone else attempt to recover his own body and unfortunately resulting in Dion being left as well. He knew this was practically an impossible dive and didn't want anyone else putting their life at risk if he (an extremely talented, skilled, and experienced deep diver) didn't come home. The documentary is called "Dave not coming back".

"Răpire" is a Romanian video, the incident took place in one of the biggest cities in Romania ("răpire" means "kidnapping"). Fortunately, there's footage of the girl jumping out of the car later, she made it to the police and reported the guys, they were arrested. In case anyone was curious to find out what happened afterwards (I'm from Romania, I remember seeing this case on the news, it's pretty recent)
@@user-vh8qn6zh3p Yeah, it was really disturbing to see so many people ignoring a kidnapping taking place right in front of her eyes. I looked the incident up again after the video, the kidnappers weren't complete strangers apparently, the girl was in a relationship or supposed to marry one of the guys (anyways, nothing consensual as far as I understand), she ran away and the guy didn't like that, so he decided to "bring her back". Not a justification, just some context. There are really deranged people living out there
@@margaritacordova7893 I don't know what happened that made people just stay there and watch. It's not a typical reaction, there were enough cases when at least a few people intervened when someone else was in a difficult situation or literally in danger, so this incident in particular feels very strange to me
Do you know what is getting still? The constant repetition of "this age something" is becoming stagnant and unoriginal, particularly in the comment section. However, this is just my personal opinion.
Oh my god, I can’t believe you got Mamamax! I’m surprised he wasn’t too busy pretending to catch child predators and faking evidence to come on. What a guy!
@kannibalkannabis5447 Which is ironic, considering that if anything the character closest to Max would probably be Mr Satan. I'm not surprised this narcissist is the ONLY one out of all the guests to actually try and shill his channel in his portion of the video. Really highlights one's priorities.
@kannibalkannabis5447You can expose pedos without being an attention whore who makes it all about himself and overdramatizes everything. Also, the idea that people "don't care about animal or child abuse" is absurd. These are some of the most universally despised things in any civilized society that have entire institutions fighting them, but sure, Max is the only beacon of hope in our dark dystopian world.
The video of Andre's family and friends finding him in the crawl space broke my heart, I cant even imagine. I hope they eventually get justice and answers.
the bystanders who just watched a young girl be kidnapped is truly disturbing. It’s so awful that people can just stand around and allow something like that to happen. edit: i didn’t mean to start a flame war in the replies, sorry abt that ig
It really is tragic, yet touching to see so many who cared. I hope that his killer is found and brought to justice, but it doesn’t sound likely at this point.
“Without further ado let’s get right into the pedophiles” In the age of everyone censoring words like that for fear of demonetization, combined with the suddenness of that statement and the incredibly deep voice of mamamax, I literally died laughing.
The brick video is something I don’t think I’ll ever forget, no matter how many times I’ve seen it talked about. Just… one split second, you’ve lost someone so dear to you in life in one of the scariest ways imaginable. And those screams. God.
I never thought something like that would happen to me and now it haunts me. I had a bf I was so in love with. We had a fight over the phone and I hung up on him. 35 min later, his mom called me telling me he was murdered. Now every time I see a friend arguing with their significant other I tell them to not let their anger be their last words. You just never know. If I could take back the words I said to him I would in a heartbeat. Breaks my heart to know that my last words to him were something I didn’t even mean.
i feel so bad for andre’s friends, the man telling the girl “the police haven’t got here yet” is so heart breaking because she was trying to get to him anyways.. i pray that they are doing well and my condolences go to them
I feel like the wheel chair guy was set up in order to cover up what they did to him.. They went out looking for their friend who had been missing for how long? And they end up finding his chair like it was nothing? On live VIDEO??? Come the hell on, the video was OBVIOUSLY a cover up for them because they did something fucked up, all the "emotions" displayed in the video sound forced and fake as hell. @@lilsavdabest I like the way you’re thinking bc you’re totally right. Sounds like it’s still an open case too since it was so recent and “no motive discovered to this day”.. I never heard about this one before. Definitely something that should be looked more into imo.
@@lilsavdabest that’s definitely an interesting takeaway, though it does seem unlikely the wheelchair would just be found sitting there to me the reactions sound genuine, and I don’t know if I appreciate someone theorizing people deeply affected by this tragedy trying to blame them for the death If you’re somehow correct I’d still be willing to bet it was just one or two of them and not everyone was in on it, cause like I said the reactions sound incredibly genuine to me
Even I, someone who purposely watches these videos to desensitize myself from our cruel rough world, felt my skin crawl due to most of these wicked individuals, the suitcase however makes me hurt on the inside.
the scariest thing about this video is the bystander effect. watching a 15yo being kidnapped and everyone just watched. all those people could've overpowered the kidnappers too.
What is so shocking is they don't act bothered, or shocked, I saw no one pull out a phone, SMH. Does everyone just think about themselves, totally? There were so many men there, they could have just teamed up for God's sake. Did he have a gun or something?? what the actual f**! I make a vow right now, that will never be me. I mean it. I couldn't live with myself.
I can't blame the people for not intervening but it is upsetting how they didn't seem to care after the fact. I can't say I would do better in that situation but I'm sure I wouldn't just carry on walking like nothing happened. I'd be shocked by it at the very least
It's called acting my friend, I wouldn't let it upset you to much bro!! He was laughing and that was natural, automatic 😛 as the American Italian's say "forget about it!!"

The thing that always gets me about the Challenger explosion is that it was avoidable. Younger engineers predicted the problem and pointed it out but where dismissed by the older ones. They more or less told them that they didn't know more then them just because they had gone to school. It was a shameful display of pride that ended in the worst way imaginable.

with obvious respect to the victims of that tragedy, i don't think words can accurately describe how much the "For Our Son" video bothered me. that 'twist', I really wasn't expecting it, paired with the slow reveal of the perpetrator's face, well done on genuinely creating a moment that is worth calling disturbing.

Nexpo struggling to pronounce the title of that video gave me a good giggle in all of this dark content. Thank you guys for incredible content as always!
The title says "Man shoots himself in Białe Miasteczko" Białe Miasteczko literally means white town, but it isn't an actual town, but more like a place of protest where nurses would set up their tents. I'm guessing it was called like that because of the colour of those tents
i thought it was incredibly disrespectful, for the man and his family. He could have respectfully said he cant pronounce the name, but instead made a joke out of it. 22:49 This clip lives with me a lot. It's extremely tragic and I feel for that friend who was trying to run into the crawl space to get to his body hurts the most. Of course you don't want to mess with a crime scene but in that moment you can't think and you just want to be with them and hold them. I hope that all of them are doing okay now
24:00 this is still something that hits the hardest for me since when I first saw this years ago. It’s terrible, but also a sad, dark reality that has been cultivated in communities. Just because he couldn’t defend himself he was killed. It’s sad that something like that could happen in a community that is similar to one I used to live in, the culture around it is devastating. Rest in peace.
It's a bit different, but one time I took my sister roller blading, she was pretty inexperienced but she fell back pretty hard. I laughed as I saw her sit up and asked if she was OK, and her mouth hung open and she made this throaty groaning noise, taking a big breath in for what felt like ages and then passing out. I swear she was twitching, I thought she must of hit her hear and I was panicking that I killed her. A group of teenagers actually walked by while it was happening and did nothing. I was hysterically crying, thinking I got my sister killed. Luckily a lady driving past pulled over and helped, I gave her my phone because I couldn't even speak to the emergency service past my crying. My sister was ok. She didn't even hit her head, apparently the broke her arm in a way that's so painful that it's very common for people to pass out from, and I assume her loud and lengthy groan/breath was her getting winded? Anyways...the experience was slightly traumatising, and I've made a promise to myself to help people if I see something is happening, screw social anxiety, now that I know that horrible helpless feeling I would never stand by or ignore someone needing help.
@Jose Phine when I was 14, I was at a busy park but sitting by a creek hidden by a small embankment. A man in his 40s jogged up and stopped when he saw me down there. He was in running clothes so I wasn't totally alarmed at first when he stood above me on the embankment, like maybe he had a stitch and was startled to see someone suddenly. But my gut was saying you should go now quickly because no one can see you down here and he's not even out of breath. GO As soon as I reached for my bag, this guy says calmly what he wants to do to me and moves toward me but I moved up the embankment faster than either he or I expected shouting P ED OPHILE! over and over. He started running and went past me because a few small groups of walkers were suddenly rounding the path both directions. I chased after him screaming P EDO PHILE because I wanted help and some adult to see what he looked like and keep him away from me and the kids at the playground he was sprinting toward. Not one adult stopped to help a 12yo looking kid screaming at a 40ish man running away. Not one adult would make eye contact even when I stopped running and started bawling as I walked. I looked at each one of them and I remember feeling like they maybe weren't able to see me and pinching my arm to test if I was a ghost. I legitimately feared that my body was still down by the creek for a terrified moment. That's how completely those people avoided eye contact. I've always thought they were as much monsters as the running predator.
@@jessicas9955 That's horrific! I was in my mid 20's and was riding shotgun with my aunt, going somewhere. I don't remember. It was a normal road in the city and we drove past a bus stop. There was a guy and girl there arguing, and the guy was really getting in her face and grabbed her by both arms before we drove past. I turned to my aunt and said "Turn around and go back to the bus stop!" She asked why, as she was turning. Thankfully there was enough urgency in my voice to get her to do it immediately. So I jumped out of the car 10 seconds later and by then the guy had pushed her down onto the bench and was yelling at her that he was going to smash her if she didn't come back to I assume, his house. They were both upset but physical violence by a much bigger man onto a woman is something I won't tolerate. Luckily I'm a 6'3" man with some skills, so after a brief tussle, he was in a sleeper lock which I used to control him while yelling at my aunt to call the police. Weirdly he wasn't trying to fight me and just kept trying to get to the girl who was cringing in the corner of the bus shelter. Bystanders arrived and were receptive to my story about what I came across driving past, and moved to comfort the girl. There must have been a cop in the area coz it didn't take long for them to arrive. Anyways, that's the one time I've come across something, but I will ALWAYS help someone in need. This time it was a girl, but I'll help anyone. Might be the death of me one day, but to me that's a worthy way to check out if that's what's on the cards.
Not only was this iceberg really interesting to dive into, but it was so awesome to hear so many familiar voices in the video. This was the ultimate collab among dark topic youtubers.
I'm happy for Michele. She died on her own terms, comfortable in her bed, surrounded by loved ones. Not many people get that in this world, I hope she's resting easily and right where she wants to be.
That one with the pilot letting his kid take the wheel makes me so angry. A prime example of how ignorant parents can get when the kid is the “light of their world”
The first time i heard about that case i was sooo fuckin' angry tbh, like, how and WHY? How can someone be sooo narcissistic, i don't blame the kids, but their father, copilot, and everyone involved in that are the ones to blame tbh.
There's nothing wrong with your kid being the light of your world. My girls are the light of my world but I'm not going to let them handle my vehicle. The pilots fault was being too comfortable with "autopilot" and making a stupid decision.
No one should be at fault for anything that happened on this flight the plane was in autopilot and nothing bad should have gone wrong but it did and many innocent people died.
The worst part about Linda Rodger's case for me is that this was no ordinary accident- it was caused by neglect from the company behind the gas. Her and all the other deaths caused by these leaks were from the company not properly investigating their gas lines- innocents dead just so a company could be lazy and save some cash.
Greed and corporate incompetence has to be checked whenever and wherever it happens. But as is often the case, people don't investigate until someone is killed. I don't get why people only act when there's real collateral damage
Mamamax being featured in this video knowing what we know now about him should be an entry somewhere on this iceberg. He may not be a predator (as far as I know) but he is a downright deplorable human being.

Honestly Michele's euthanasia video is bittersweet. She didn't want to die in pain when her diseases had progressed further. She made her decision and said her goodbyes and seemed content. After a celebration of her life and the end of her pain she passed away listening to her favorite songs. I feel like we can only hope to have a similarly peaceful end.
Yeah, I was surprised it was so far down, she was at peace and was able to die a seemingly much more peaceful death than most of us ever will, and she seemed very content with her life.

I was there for Astroworld and omg so many things went wrong in the festival. Security was awful(they definitely didn’t know what they were doing), whoever was the planner did not considering anything, people were extremely horribly mannered, most girls I saw there were extremely drunk throwing up literally everywhere, guys were harassing so many girls, and that’s what I basically saw throughout the day. I will say though I did come across great genuine people and glad that they were around me especially when mosh pitting. I didn’t fully process how bad it was until the next morning when we saw the news that people had actually died. RIP to all of them and their families didn’t deserve any of this.
it may seem morbid on the surface to many, but it's nice and bittersweet that michele went on her own terms, surrounded by her closest friends. not many get to pass away on their will, peacefully.
watching Michele say goodbye to her friend really hurt to watch, I feel like there should've been another way, I wish she would've lived a full life and found happiness instead of cutting her life short like that💔

I have such mixed feelings about euthanasia. It’s understandable for someone who is terminally ill and in those cases I do support one’s decision to end their own life. However, there have been some recent cases of euthanasia being pushed on people with treatable health issues and mental health issues because killing someone is easier and cheaper than providing someone with the right healthcare. Hell, in Canada there’s even talk of letting mentally ill “mature minors” have access to euthanasia which is absolutely insane and wrong in my opinion. Though, if someone spends years of their life wanting to die, I’d rather them die with dignity than commit suicide alone and in a more painful way. This is why I’m so split on the matter

I once stumbled across a true crime Video where teens and one tween threw an 6 lbs ROCK from a bridge . Onto a car. Onto a womans head. The 911 call is horrifying and I have seen peoole die, worked with cancer patients etc. The husband seems upset but suddenly breaks out into screaming:"OMG ! OMG ! Half of her brain is gone !" - As the reality sets in. Gargling noises, breathing you know( if you work in the medical field) is almost not much more than a reflex anymore . The daughter was in the back. The woman lifed- barely - as in 24/7 in need of care . The husband later shot himself, because he couldn't cope. The five " Kids' only got light sentences like ... idk. one maybe 3 years or WTF. DON'T LOOK IT UP.
The deep dive into the Astroworld Disaster will make you feel absolutely no sympathy for anyone involved in the deaths of all those innocent people. Not Travis, not the venue, not Ticketmaster/Live Nation, and not the event organizers. That entire thing was a disaster.
For real, 10 people died, 3 of those children, and nothing was done about it. Sure Travis gave money, but he didn’t care, He didn’t lose anything, because he wasn’t the one who lost his children and siblings.
These two videos was absolutely awesome. And I was nicely surprised to see one of my favorite content creators - Disturban - here. Thanks to all participants, you did great job. ❤️
Part one and two of this is fantastic! Love hearing some of my favorite RU-vidrs deliver some chilling stories. Gotta say, the highlight for me was Barely Sociable!
the seven super girls story absolutely breaks my heart. I grew up watching them as a young girl and idolized the girls on it. It was my absolute dream to be one of them. To hear what they really had to go through destroys me. They deserve justice.
So true because I used to watch these videos too and really enjoyed watching them even though I was a little bit older than the target audience when I started watching the videos. But I can never look at these channels the same way again knowing that a predator was behind them.
@@yogalover2753 i idolized those girls when i was younger. now that i know the full story, hearing the name of the channel makes me sick. i hope all the girls are doing okay now…
That Beirut incident is terrifying to watch. My dad has heard of the it, but he was surprised and shocked by how huge the second explosion was, and the destruction of it. It’s obviously not great that the warehouse had two extremely explosive items in it, but still, damn.
I never knew Mamamax until everything that has been going down, and I was like, "Wait, that voice sounds so familiar,” so I came here, and it’s the same person. I remember when I first heard his part in this video, I did not like him at all…shocker lol
Man, just by hearing what happened in Linda Rogers last video sends shivers down my spine. Imagine calmly doing something and all of sudden, your home blows up and everything goes into darkness in the blink of an eye, truly terrifying moment. RIP Linda
@@monkeetoe1657 I've read that her parents pulled her from underneath the rubble, she was still alive tho it's unclear if she was conscious or not. She sadly passed away an hour later in the hospital. Story is heartbreaking as she just woke up and was excited for her cheerleading event.
There is a study where an ape was raised alongside the child. They found for that study that the ape started becoming aggressive once the child started getting to do things it couldn't (mental wise, not psychical, like after a certain point it just stopped being able to grasp concepts the human baby could) since it was frustrated. Apes overall are interesting creatures, but they do need to be respected and people need to remember their dangerous. They stopped the study because they parents of the child (also the people raising the ape) were concerned of it attacking the child out of frustration.
@@Zaltic That's what makes them scarier than say a lion or a wolf, they often prefer to maim over kill - they will bite off fingers, noses, even genitals. It's an almost humanesque mindset of torture.
@@BobBob-vy9ds Fascinating! So not quite advanced enough to compare to its human sibling, but enough to realize it wasn't? That's honestly pretty neat! ...of course, not in this situation, but in general!
I have been binge watching your videos for the past two days. Thank you for such great content and bringing us insight into the horrid and mysterious. I found that hearing narrative videos helps me focus while studying. The background speaking helps me alot. So thank you.
The worst part for me was knowing whoever was behind the camera was likely killed by the blast and we're only seeing the footage because someone found the phone/camera next to the dead body D:
@@_Kathy_cthy there are a lot of accusations, what we know for sure is he lied about catching pedos for clout, he's just a dude that makes edgy videos. People started digging more into his past and revealed that he seems to mainly be an obsessive stalker that allegedly held a girl against her will (who may or may not have been underage at the time.) He also seemingly has become fixated on the boyfriend of one of them and has been going around calling him a predator. He's a real cool dude all around.
@@SalamandaaPeople are calling him a creeper, and also discrediting him, specifically because he is going against that type, and they want to protect them against him.
40:56 The screams of hundreds of innocent people falling, and the blurred but still VERY CLEAR visual of that actually happening... That really shook me, I even teared up a bit the first time, and it still freaks me out.
The phenomenon where a drowning person grabs onto whomever or whatever is near them isn’t unheard of. The instinct to survive is stronger than most of us realize. I’m not at all surprised that the Yemen couple effectively drowned each other.
Yeah, I remember being taught during Jr Lifeguard training (didn't end up becoming one and doing the senior training) that IF you have to enter the water to rescue someone, do so cautiously and approach from behind so they can't grab you and pull you under. And if they do grab you, dive as deep as you can and re-approach from behind.

The Finding A Friend case happened right when I moved to this city, and it was truly devastating. I actually hadn’t heard any updates since they found his body, and had no idea they filmed the moment.
@@claude7698 every corner of everywhere is filled with them, in my town there was a man who burned down his house with his wife and kids inside, and this is in the South of Ireland, no access to firearms, not that much built up areas, it's mostly rural. There are still psychopaths around.
No matter how many times I've heard the Jonestown tapes, the kids crying as they die is so heartbreaking. Also one Beirut explosion video was of a bride and groom taking their wedding pictures, you can see the sonic wall as the bride is taking some drone shots. It knocks the drone out of the sky and the groom and photographer shield her as they run inside.
The kicker with Jonestown is the guy in charge was too chicken shit to kill himself. He got shot in the head. I forget if he did it to himself or if someone else did it for him. So many people suffering and dying in agony and the leader was a total pansy
First time watching this video and the first thing I hear after the intro is Mamamax, good thing nowadays people know of his scummy ways. Leaving that aside, good video
craziest part of The Station nightclub fire is the cameraman who captured that full video of the event was a local news cameraman who, ironically, was there filming for an upcoming piece on venue safety. A huge part of the reason he survived was because unlike most others present, he realized the gravity of the situation the moment it began to unfold and quickly made his way to the exit while most fans in attendance stayed put, believing the growing fire to be part of the pyrotechnics show
And the fact that barely anyone knows where the fire exit was. The part where he records the exit with barely anyone coming out is heart breaking. This video was more impactful that what he could have recorded though. I was shown the full thing when I started a job at a club. We all had to watch it to show how important fire safety is and that the staff need to take control of the situation and guide people to the exits safely
Holy shit, the video of the woman getting euthanasia actually unlocked a memory of mine. I saw a documentary exactly like that as a kid, that filmed the death of a woman. She had had it done with an injection though, but it was similarly a rich woman choosing to do it at home. It never hit me until now that I had in fact seen a woman die on TV when I was quite young. Since I'm french, that makes it two french documentaries casually filming death. Is that... a specialty of ours ?
@@nvoevcw well yeah but if its just france isnt that kind of sad that no one else gets that sort of choice? Besides being known for people dying isn't much of a good thing regardless of cause.
@@nvoevcw Personally, it would depend on the situation. If it's a terminal illness or something of that sort and you want to spare yourself the suffering you know will come, then I don't care either. If it's not for that reason and there are still ways for the person to lead a full and happy life, then I do care and hope they get professional help instead of choosing to end it. Besides, knowing that you watched someone die on TV as a child without realizing it hits hard
@@D7STOPIAN Technically, even though "self-euthanasia" is legal in France, anybody, unless there are severe physical restrictions, could find a way to end their life. So almost everyone gets that choice.
by far the most disturbing thing i've seen on youtube was the recreation of the toy box killers audio tape that he'd play to his victims, i couldn't sleep right for a while after listening to that whole thing

The voice recording of Annelise's exorcism gave me nightmares for weeks. The mere memory still makes my blood run cold. As soon as it came up I instantly skipped to the next segment. This is coming from someone who isn't easily scared and regularly binges horror content.
@@batoujesus5964 God I hate that photo. Just the sight gives me the chills. I also can't imagine what that poor girl was going through. Either she was genuinely possessed by a demon, or she was severely mentally ill.
